Marc Emery has given millions of dollars from seed sales to help out whenever and wherever a local legalization group was a few  thousand short of accomplishing their goals. He has given major support to printing the annual poster for the Million Marijuana March, besides funding CANNABIS CULTURE and POT TV. He is the only major marijuana proponent to go farther, and start the first Ibogaine clinic in Canada after witnessing its miraculous effect on his son, a junkie. We cannot allow the U.S., under the rubric of the War on Terror, the seize our leaders around the world and bring them back to the U.S. to face life in prison or the Death Penalty.

Please read the following article, watch the video, and commit to doing some kind of a protest outside the Canadian embassy or consulate in your city on Saturday Sept 10 or the following week.  Sept 10 is when they're doing a big protest in Vancouver. It can really make a difference if we can all coordinate something with our Vancouver people, because most Canadians do not want to give Marc up! (It's a sovereignty issue.) You should check out the buzz on Marc Emery's extradition. The possible
death sentence is out there in public on the internet, and is on a short
list of talking points for emails to Canada's Minister of Justice Irwin
Cotler and media urging the Canadian government to block Emery's
extradition. The DEA has not yet assured the Canadian government that they
won't seek the death penalty. I must give you credit for bringing the
kingpin death penalty law to attention of me and many other activists.

hi,

there are several things related to my situation that could be important to

some of you. First few words on what is going on with my life.

As you should know some time ago because of lack of support i resigned from

being KANABA coordinator and focused only on encod activities and looking for

job. Several weeks passed and dozen of job interviews are behind me, and i
must say that biggest problem to potential employers is my past and future

connection to drug policy reform. They are very afraid that some of their

clients will be unhappy because of my 'fame'. Unfortunately its nothing that i
can hide, from time to time im making some interviews to tv or other media. I
already lost one job after tv show and dont want that this situation will
repeat (btw. just put 'artur radosz' in google, ehh).

Additionaly, my last money finished yesterday, i lost also my room - because i
did not have money to pay for it. I don't want again 'live on street' so i
decided to return to my small hometown. I will be unable to make any new job
interviews, and even if i will by some luck find job i will be unable to take
it  - just because of money, i will need it to rent room in warsaw etc (my
family is also very poor and cannot support me).

To make things even more complicated and hopeless, it will be really hard for
me to get online there, maybe from time to time i will be able to check email,
but for sure im not able to support you in any serious way.

This is very bad because i started some work on relaunch of action.encod.org
with new layout and improved functionality that we wanted to offer to our

members.

Another thing is that we will need to move it from my friend host somewhere
else before September. Because lack of conditions i will be unable to make this.

YOU MUST BE AWARE THAT ACTION SITE CAN DISAPPEAR BEFORE SEPTEMBER.

There are also other important projects that i need to stop, like case study
from polish experiences with involving civil society into drug policy decision
making process that could be very interesting especially to our czech friends.

I wanted also to prepare (through aciton site) some civil society

consultation related to upcoming meeting of special platform of Council of

Europe on which we (i) was invited to present our comments and opinions on

their recomendations related to drug issue in schools.

But this will probably not happen, and generally I'm quite depressed and agin

thinking about resigning completely from DPR, coz i dont think i will get
normal job in Poland if i would continue my commitment.

A couple of years ago I suggested to Marc that we launch a joint fundraising appeal amalgamating our prestige, as CANNABIS CULTURE and the Million Marijuna March, to tap into some of the money that goes  to MPP, NORML and so-on. For some reason he was unenthusiastic about the idea.

I am informed by Jodie, his second-in-command at CANNABIS CULTURE, that now  that they have no money from selling seeds, they're not in a position to help you.

A joint fund-raising effort would be a really nice thing to have in reserve right now.
