petition to help save Australian citizen Schapelle

Corby from death by firing squad in Indonesia.

Schapelle Corby has been detained in a Balinese prison

and now awaits sentencing from a panel of judges on

whether she will be committed to the death penalty, by

a firing squad, for allegedly attempting to import

our kilograms of cannibis into Indonesia.

It is disgusting and barbaric in this day and age that

a 'death penalty by firing squad' law exists, and that

an Australian citizen should be subject to it.

This law is out-dated and inhumane, and considering

that convicted terrorist Abu Bakar Bashir has only

been sentenced to two years and six months jail (with

the prospect of appeal) for his proven 'conspiracy'

participation in the Bali bombings that killed 183

people, in the same country, it is inconsistent and

absurd that another personshould face the death

penalty for allegedly smuggling cannibis into the

country.

Furthermore, the Australian Government and airlines

should be taking more responsibility for this incident

in any case, since it is the fault of the Australian

airlines/airport that the drugs even left Australia in

the first place - which also leaves us to ponder on

the security and possible internal corruption of staff

working at Australian airports, in light of drug

smuggling and terrorism. We the undersigned demand

that the Australian Government, and Department of

Foreign Affairs and Trade, act responsibily to ensure

that, innocent or guilty, Schapelle Corby is returned

to Australia and that she does &gt;NOT face the 'death

penalty by firing Squad' in Indonesia.

The organizing committee of Russian Marijuana March addresses to you

with the big request for the financial help.

We experience financial difficulties for the organization of Moscow

March, because there are unwillingness of potential Russian sponsors

to have problems with authorities because of participation in

financing oppositional movements. Michael Kodorkovsky's example has

discouraged the Russian business to participate in similar actions.

This year we are going to lead a march from Arbat (May, 7, 17:05) to

Pushkin square (18:00). After demonstration we plan to leave Moscow by

buses for carrying out there cannsbis open-air on a sample of a last

year's London march. Besides it, cannabis flash-mobs will take place

in several Russian cities.

So, our financial needs:

1. Polygraphic maintenance of March (leaflets, posters, booklets) -

5000$

2. The organization cannsbis open-air (sound amplification, fees to

musicians, miscellaneous costs) - 10000$.

There's mmmmm bad vocabulary. People free civil politiÑÉ organization (there's exist a term for such kind of legal organization, but i don't know it) and they also have Legalization in their political targets. they make demonstrations and stuff. they even talk with our new president Viktor Yushchenko. I wonder if they give him a sort of petition.... they plan to finish Legalize March in a president street =))

Hello,
My name is Jodi Sellers from MN and I have an idea I hope your interested in. We have started a petition for the legalization of Marijuana "One Moment for Marijuana, Cannabis,  Hemp Petition 2005-2006" When we wrote the petition, we couldn't find any current petitions like ours, now we have found many. Which is fabulous. We created the petition in hopes of presenting it to the Government during the Marijuana March 2006. Then I had an Idea that I hope is even Better.
What if we get everybody/group who has a petition for any Marijuana, Cannabis, or Hemp reason (Legalization purposes) to join together in presenting our petitions all on the same day, together with the marchers. I think if we devised a campaign to call all groups together to make presentations on that day together, that could help get more media coverage and show a larger united front.  It just seems that a lot is being presented to the Government, in small doses, spread through out the year. I realize that 2006  could be to early, but if we start building and creating a simple plan of action after the march this year, an announcement could be made at next years 2006 March, calling all groups to bring their petitions, their group statement/Goals to the march 2007 to present to the Gov. Actually if every rally made an announcement this year and a web page was up with a little info, it could happen for 2006. Then quickly build on the page after the rally. We could do it and submit it to you for your approval with in 11 days, if your interested. Would that not be beautiful, on the same day  through the world,  not only is their this huge mass of people in the streets, but they are carrying names of all the supporters who couldn't make it in person, and groups are holding events, and everywhere is the sound of legalization and freedom. Have the letter writers flood the Gov offices beginning 3 days before the March ..I think  that even the idea of petitions uniting would create a street level excitement to create petitions in a small city. 150 signatures may not do much alone, so they would feel the effort is wasted. To be able to either present the petition themselves, or to be able to mail them to a central location to be presented with thousands of others just like them. It puts so much power and control back in the hands of the people. Even if the groups have already presented their petition they could bring/send a copy just to have recognition in a united front.

So along with everything you do, people would present petitions for legalizations, and groups/ORG. could plan activities on this day according to their thing. Would you allow this at the march? There are so many small groups with so much to offer that are seeking to keep there individuality, and yet Unite with others. I know I help pay for a web page on your site for a project Uniting all groups on an expanded fashion. I am sure other would also donate to help cover the cost of the created page and up keep. Or We or several groups or individual I had networked with would be glad to host a HOST Web page, if you wish. I think basically the page would need a strong explanation so every group understands the are Welcomed and urged to join the march and presentations. So sample petition or links to current ones for ideas or to join forces with existing petitions(there is a site that list all petitions it can find), ideas on how to get signatures, where and how to present the petition, and a central meeting location in Washington for all petitioners to gather. Also how/if they can get a table or spot for there petition at the rally, the cost, do they need a permit for a table? There are plenty of Marijuana forums that I am sure would open a forum topic, or I could there also with this topic to answer questions and watch the excitement grow as people unite. I also think  then the March advertisement would at a minimum triple just by groups of 2 or 3 getting excited because there ideas are going to count. Their petition is going to matter. Their presentations/events are going to be joined with hundreds of groups just like them on that day. Not to mediation the spiritual power that carries with so many in the same thought for that day. I am sure other larger groups would love to present there petitions also.
 So I hear allot that petitions if not wrote correctly, or signed correctly are no good. Let a million plus Marchers and 3-4 million signatures for hUNdreds of marijuana reason go UN-noticed and un counted. If word say one group was singled out, such as prisoner's, to be no good, that allot of people being told there voices Do Not Matter in their country, land of the people. With some many signatures, they will not be able to disregard any amount and not have somebody notice and comment. I hope everybody will sign our petition, but I know that they won't, but maybe they will sign anther with a different statement.  The fear of speaking out lessons with knowing there is a lot millions of people, joining you to say enough already. Those that can't make the march do not always carry the same excitement as those going. But if they sign a petition that is going to be at the march and given to there city gov, state gov, or fed, or country leaders along with the marches, thats exciting and worth talking about. Robert Downey Jr. musta been so incrediby pissed off each and every time he had to go through "intervention" (have you all seen the latest "reality" show offering- "intervention- sometimes people don't even know they've hit rock bottom" or some such incredibly nauseating sell line as that used to sell the show- shocking, almost, that this has become so normal in our society that we can now see it on tv as entertainment, the idea that in the US, land of the free where so long as we're not hurting others we're pretty much free to chase our dreams and desires, and you know, freedom, things like that, a show where people intervene in others' lives because "they" think their "friends," or "family members" need "help" is treated as "entertainment." How perverted is that?) knowing as he obviously does about the long-time official US government and intelligence services involvement(s) in the very lucrative international drug trade that insured he was able to always score and get fucked up then arrested and forced through drug reatment AND jail for using just about any drug he desired, wherevery and whenever he wanted.There he was, put through the ringer not once, not twice, but many times as a result of his using those same drugs (well, among the many illegal drugs Downey apparently made ample use of) he'd made a movie about how the US government/intelligence/military were not only shipping the drugs but producing and taking part in the trade at all sorts of levels at all sorts of times, meaning ALL the time. I know I'd be pissed of, that's without a doubt.

In this context, I believe iboga is excellent at interrupting
addictive and obsessive/compulsive patterns. To varying extents
it seems capable of giving a sense of the spontaneous, original
personality with which we were born. But it does not replace
maladaptive childhood learning of how to cope and get what one
wants with new patterns. Often one will cling to the illusion
that this has happened (in the form of elation over seeing the
truth in one form or another) because it is too much of a blow
to the ego to see all the redevelopment work that is needed.

I believe the best approach is to view the iboga experience as
the beginning of a process of difficult change that might last
for many years, as long as it could take to learn a language
or an instrument. The true reward of such a process is mundane
happiness rather than existential power of any sort. This is

just my impression from my own experience and the net.
