One of the arguments against the use of marijuana for any reason is it's carcinogenic potential. Prohibition supporters often cite that marijuana smoke has even more cancer causing compounds than does tobacco smoke. However, this reasoning is incomplete. Recent scientific studies have shown that there are cancer causing effects that are specifically due to nicotine. In fact, nicotine through nicotine receptors in the airways protects cells damaged by the carcinogens found in tobacco smoke from dying. Cells that are genetically damaged by carcinogens and protected from dying are the cells that go on to become cancer cells. Hence, consistent with epidemiological studies,  tobacco causes lung cancer whereas marijuana does not.

CANNABIS ISSUE REHASHED

If most parents knew there was a federally funded organization lying to
their children about the effects of drug use, they would likely be appalled
and seek to have the organization's funding removed. Yet the frightening
truth is that such a group exists, operating under the family-friendly
monicker, Partnership for a Drug Free America (PDFA). In its newest line of
Public Service Announcements (PSAs), the group equates marijuana use with
wrongful death, rape and even murder...crimes that sensible people realize
marijuana usage alone would never lead to. Last year, the American public
was misled into thinking that every joint they smoked contributed to
international terrorism, and recently that using marijuana will almost
certainly result in acts of domestic violence.

Lies. The "anti-drug."

PDFA's well-intentioned but inaccurate PSAs feature a variety of scenarios,
each ending with someone dying, being raped or going to jail.

Other Views: The government's reefer madness

By Sacramento Bee --
Published 2:15 a.m. PST Saturday, January 11, 2003

Twenty-five years ago, Lester Grinspoon noted in his classic study "Marihuana Reconsidered"
that "the single greatest risk encountered by the user of the drug is that of being apprehended
as a common criminal, incarcerated, and subjected to untold damage to his social life and
career."

What was true then is even more true today: Around 700,000 Americans are arrested
annually for simply possessing marijuana, and more than 10,000 Americans are currently in
jails and prisons because they have been convicted of marijuana possession, and no other
crime.

The government's propagandists are taking full advantage of these statistics: A new anti-drug
commercial depicts the potentially devastating arrest of a teenage marijuana smoker (drug
convictions bar students from receiving federal educational loans), and concludes: "Marijuana
can get you busted. Harmless?" The commercial's unintentionally surreal message -- that
marijuana is illegal because it's harmful, and it's harmful because it's illegal -- is one that
seems likely to fill any young person capable of independent thought with contempt for both our
marijuana laws and the  dangerously authoritarian logic that supports and enforces them.

Imagine if one were to extend this logic to, say, freedom of the press: The government could
produce commercials depicting the arrest of young people caught reading "subversive"
literature, in order to drive home the point that, if you happen to live under a sufficiently
repressive regime, merely reading the wrong sort of book can be hazardous to your health.

Anti-drug zealots will reply that books, unlike marijuana, are harmless. This is of course
preposterous: Few things are more dangerous than books. How many millions of deaths can
be traced to the publication of "The Communist Manifesto," or "Mein Kampf," or for that
matter the Bible and the Koran? Yet this is hardly an argument for the repeal of the First
Amendment.

The idea that something ought to be criminalized because it isn't "harmless" is a key feature
of the authoritarian mind-set. It's an idea that allows for the criminalization of just about any
imaginable activity, since almost nothing in this world is harmless. Marijuana isn't harmless,
but it isn't nearly as harmful as, for example, alcohol -- a substance that causes thousands of
fatal overdoses every year (no one has ever died from an overdose of marijuana).

So why don't we make America an alcohol-free nation by criminalizing alcohol? The
superficial answer is that we tried that once and it was total failure. (Attempting to eliminate
marijuana use has also been a total failure: Almost half the current adult population -- nearly
100 million Americans -- has used marijuana, and several million Americans continue to use it
regularly.) The more nuanced answer is that making America an alcohol-free nation would
actually be a bad thing, even if it were possible.

This isn't merely because the costs of prohibition are so high.

Most people who drink alcohol have benefited from the experience more than they've been
harmed by it. What anti-drug zealots are incapable of acknowledging is that the same holds
true for marijuana users.

Indeed the evidence is overwhelming that, for the vast majority of marijuana users, their use
has had no significant harmful effects, and many good ones.

Yet as Grinspoon pointed out a quarter-century ago, "Reason has had little influence in this
matter." The criminal prohibition of marijuana, he said, was due to "cultural factors that have
nothing to do with the effect of the drug itself."

In the years since little has changed, as we waste billions of dollars, and give free rein to an
increasingly dangerous authoritarianism, in the futile attempt to stamp out this largely benign
practice.

KEEP ON THE GRASS

The Pot Party Battles Nerve Gas

JAFFA--The country is going to pot. No one seems to mind. It makes us
feel like we live in a normal 21st-century nation instead of some
backward place where two peoples, neither of whom eats pork, kill each
other over a piece of scrubby land.

We're having elections at the end of this month. You've probably heard
more about them than you ever wanted to know. Same here. The TV and
newspapers talk about nothing else, except the sunny prospects for war
with Iraq.

The election issues are clear: peace or war; prosperity or economic
collapse; clean government or rampant corruption; legalized or illegal
grass.

Im back in Puerto Rico where they have been producing clones for over 24 years. The more cities in Puerto Rico participating the better we should all do day events and then converge on El Morro / Old San Juan latter on is my thought. The tourism industry seems to be preparing Old San Juan showcasing it as a Safe place to travel too and we all know people whom support Tourism also support Hemp and Weed smoking as well as a little Bacardi with there meals.

Please add San Juan Metro, Puerto Rico to event list for cities/region

MAN WITH JOINT DIDN'T BREAK LAW

TORONTO -- A second Ontario judge has found there is no law in Canada
forbidding possession of small amounts of marijuana.

Ontario Court of Justice Judge John Moore yesterday threw out a simple
possession charge against a 40-year-old man with no criminal record who was
alleged to have had the equivalent of a joint in his pocket.

Moore agreed with Justice Douglas Phillips in Windsor, who on Jan. 2 found
there are no laws in Canada prohibiting the possession of 30 grams or less
of marijuana.

POT REGULATIONS VIOLATE CHARTER: ONTARIO COURT

Canada's marijuana laws took another blow yesterday when the Ontario
Superior Court ruled that Ottawa's regulations for medical users are
unconstitutional because patients have no access to a legal supply of the drug.

In a case involving seriously ill Canadians and "compassion clubs" that
provide them with marijuana to fight pain, nausea and weight loss, Mr.
Justice Sidney Lederman said the federal government must pass regulations
within six months to ensure medical users a legal supply or see its entire
marijuana-possession law struck down.

"This has great implications for the everyday user as well as medical
users," Joseph Neuberger, one of the lawyers representing patients, said in
an interview.

RAVE-GOERS ACHIEVE VICTORY IN RACINE

City prosecutors dismiss citations against 440

Racine - The 440 multi-pierced, electronic-music-loving party-goers who were
stung with $968 citations for attending a rave party gained a sweeping
victory Thursday.

City prosecutors admitted they couldn't prove their case and agreed to
dismiss all of the citations.

Even ravers who pleaded no contest and paid a reduced fine will get their
money back.

The only consolation for the city is that, according to the agreement, the
Milwaukee-based American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin, which
represented most of the party-goers, said it would not sue the city.

BIG BEND MAN, 20, ENTERS PLEA IN MARIJUANA CASE

Parents Killed Selves After Being Accused Of Running Drug House

Waukesha - Rather than fight the drug charges that his parents avoided
through suicide, a Big Bend man accepted responsibility Thursday for his
role in his family's marijuana operation.

His attorney, Matthew Huppertz, said 20-year-old Joshua Schilling wanted to
put the case behind him.

"He has realized that legal or not, right or not, it just isn't worth it,"
Huppertz said. "Look at what happened."

Dennis and Denise Schilling hanged themselves in a Madison hotel in
September, and four of their five children attended their funeral wearing
T-shirts with messages such as "Dare to know the truth about marijuana."

DRUG CZAR ASKED FOR EXPLANATION

CARSON CITY -- Nevada's secretary of state has asked National Drug Czar
John Walters to explain why he hasn't followed the state's campaign
contributions and expenditures law.

Secretary of State Dean Heller released a letter Wednesday that he sent to
Walters, asking the federal official to explain why he has failed to submit
legally required information about his efforts to defeat Question 9. Nevada
voters in November rejected the ballot question, which would have allowed
adults to possess as much as 3 ounces of marijuana in their homes.

Judge Excuses Half the Jury Pool in Federal Trial of Ed Rosenthal
Potential Jurors Speak Out In Favor of Medical Marijuana, Legalization and States' Rights

Tuesday, January 14, 2003 -- In what one defense attorney called the most remarkable day of jury selection hed ever witnessed, more than half of the 52 potential jurors in the marijuana-cultivation trial of best-selling author and activist Ed Rosenthal were excused by the judge for cause. Even small-town murder trials where everyone knows everyone and emotions run high will see at most one or two jurors excused as being unable to give the proceeding a fair hearing.

Asked by Judge Charles Breyer if they had strong feelings on the legalization of marijuana, the legality of medical marijuana, or the conflict between federal law and Californias voter initiative, Proposition 215, legalizing the medical use of marijuana, juror after juror either regaled the court with poignant anecdotes about how they or someone they knew used or had recommended to them medical marijuana, gave voice to passionate feelings about the need to legalize marijuana for all use, or expressed deep distaste for federal interference in Californias laws. That these views were expressed by what appeared to be a representative cross-section of the Bay Areas populace was perhaps less surprising than that they were willing to give voice to such a call for reform at all, since potential jurors normally understate the strength of their views when speaking in front of strangers, for fear of how their peers might react.

At the end of the day, the judge called for another pool of 50 to be presented tomorrow morning and guaranteed completion of selection by lunchtime. Of those jurors who can get past the judges questions, the defense is permitted to challenge ten and the prosecution six, so at least five more potential jurors are needed to seat twelve and two alternates.
The defense today also presented additional case authority in support of their pretrial motion on entrapment by estoppel, which argued that because local authorities had established a program to extend federal immunity from prosecution to those such as Rosenthal who were deputized to implement the city of Oaklands medical marijuana ordinance, and had told him he would be protected, he should not now be prosecuted. The judge said the additional cases cited in support of that argument would be considered.

Jury Seated in Federal Medical Marijuana Trial of Ed Rosenthal
Proceedings begin Tuesday, January 21st in U.S. District Court

The jury was finally selected today in the federal marijuana-cultivation trial of best-selling author and activist Ed Rosenthal. It took an unprecedented two days -- the first of which saw half the prospective jurors excused because of their strong feelings about the legalization of Marijuana, their experiences with its medical use, or their frustration with federal interference in state laws -- but twelve jurors and two alternates were empaneled by Federal District Court Judge Charles Breyer to begin hearing the case next Tuesday, January 21st, following the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Prospective jurors were again questioned about their feelings and beliefs related to marijuana, and the court was again filled with poignant stories of family members who had sought relief from the symptoms of HIV or cancer through the use of medical marijuana. Potential jurors also took the opportunity to denounce the federal laws on marijuana as "grotesque," to question the imposition of jail time for marijuana offences, and to suggest that the medicinal use of marijuana was a matter for science not the courts.

Even Judge Breyer acknowledged that the cultivation of marijuana for use by patients may be the "noble" thing to do, the "humane" and right thing. But he repeatedly reminded the prospective jurors that he would be instructing them that marijuana cultivation was a federal crime no matter what the purpose, and to sit on the jury they had to be willing to set aside their conclusions or beliefs and follow his instructions, even if they believed he was wrong about the law, or the law itself was unjust.

Many of those called declined to be bound by such instructions, but, ultimately, 14 people agreed.  Trial commences Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at 8:30 a.m. in U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, Courtroom of Justice Charles Breyer, 19th Floor, 450 Golden Gate, San Francisco, California.

Now Is The Time To Act!!

Despite a voter referendum that makes medical marijuana legal in
California, long-time activist and author Ed Rosenthal was arrested by
federal agents and now faces 20 years in prison for helping the sick and
dying in accordance with California state law. (See
http://www.Green-Aid.com/news.htm for timely trial updates.)

The Federal government knows that they must defeat the medical marijuana
movement at all costs, or else they have lost the Drug War. The issue is
clear - Federal prosecutors want to stop legal providers of medical
marijuana, despite the growing consensus on medicinal use. According to the
November 04, 2002 edition of Time Magazine, "80% think adults should be
able to use marijuana legally for medical purposes."

Jury selection in Ed's landmark case begins on January 16, 2003. Ed needs
the support of his peers and all those who believe in compassion and the
democratic process.

The good news is that the Green Aid: The Medical Marijuana Legal Defense
and Education Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has been
officially launched with a contribution of pro bono legal services. Green
Aid is providing Ed with a group of skilled attorneys to defend Ed as the
first of many such cases.

However, we still need to raise an additional $350,000 to pay trial costs.
Please donate whatever you can to help in this just fight. Even a little
help will make the difference in defending both state laws and our ethical
rights to be compassionate.

Green Aid needs your help to help Ed and others win their trials. To make
your tax-deductible donation go to http://www.Green-Aid.com or call
1-888-271-7674. Please be generous.

Help get the word out by forwarding this email to all your friends. If you
have a website, please add a green-aid.com banner to it by copying the one
at http://www.Green-Aid.com/contact.htm.

Green-Aid.com is the place to go to find out more information about this
important organization, as well as get updates on all the latest
developments in Ed Rosenthal's federal trial.

Thank you for your support!

LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR SNUFFS MARIJUANA DRIVE, RULES HUNDREDS OF SIGNATURES
INVALID

Juneau (AP) -- Lt. Gov. Loren Leman stopped an initiative drive seeking to
decriminalize marijuana, ruling Tuesday that hundreds of signatures
collected were not valid.

Leman, a former state senator who sponsored a bill in 1999 to turn back the
state's medical marijuana laws, said in a statement that the pro-marijuana
group will have to begin from scratch to get its measure before voters in 2004.

The proposed initiative would have asked voters to decriminalize and
regulate marijuana.

Backers submitted 484 booklets containing signatures of Alaskans who
supported putting the measure on the ballot. But officials with the state
Division of Elections found several discrepancies in the petitions, Leman said.

BOLIVIAN DEMONSTRATORS KILLED DURING NATIONWIDE PROTEST

KAYARANI, Bolivia (AP)--Two demonstrators were killed in fighting on
the nation's largest highway between government forces and thousands
of poor protesting Bolivia's plan to eradicate coca crops and other
government policies.

Soldiers opened fire on demonstrators at a roadblock Tuesday, killing
Romulo Gonzalez, 19, who was shot in the neck, the government said in
a statement. The incident happened in Aguirre, a small town 260
kilometers (160 miles) to the southeast of La Paz.

A second man died from asphyxiation in a clash with soldiers, the
government said. Radio reports said the man was overcome by tear gas.

Tuesday marked the second day of the nationwide protest that has shut
down the nation's largest highway, connecting Cochabamba, 225
kilometers (140 miles) southeast of the capital La Paz, to the eastern
city of Santa Cruz.

Thousands of protesters threw tree trunks and boulders along the road
to protest a U.S.-sponsored, six-year-old government plan to eradicate
all illegal coca crops -the base ingredient of cocaine.

SWEDES EXPELLED FROM BOLIVIA FOR SUPPORTING COCA FARMERS

LA PAZ, Bolivia (AP)--The government has ordered four Swedish women
expelled from Bolivia, accusing them of illegal political activism by
supporting protests by coca growers.

The four women, who have been detained since Monday, were given until
Saturday to leave Bolivia.

According to the government, Malin Fredenstedt, Malena Wahlin, Ylva
Westander and Emma Johansson helped in planning and financing protests
that began Monday with a series of blockades on the nation's main highway.

The protests have left four people dead in clashes with police and
soldiers.

The coca growers are protesting the eradication of their plants by the
government. Coca leaf is processed to make cocaine .

Deputy Interior Minister Jose Luis Harb said the Swedish women gave
$2,000 to Evo Morales, the leftist leader of the coca peasants in the
Chapare region, to help finance the protests.

THE TEMPTATION OF DR. WEED

Through the window of his Montana State University-Bozeman lab, Dr.
David Sands can barely be glimpsed. Almost totally obscured by piles
of data and stacks of fungus-filled Petri dishes, patches of the
60-something scientist's cornflower blue Oxford show through.

There's a knock at lab door and a call. "Hello? Dr. Sands?"

"Yeah, I'm here," he responds from his hiding spot, poking out his
bald, bespectacled head. Even expecting invited guests, his voice is
apprehensive and unwelcoming. He doesn't get up but stays seated,
gently adjusting a microscope, and waits for the reporter to approach.

This is not the first time reporters have called on Sands. Between
1999 and 2000, he was hounded by media from all over the world--the
BBC, Mother Jones, the London Observer and Newsweek all wanted access
to the man and his groundbreaking research.

U.S. FAILS TO ACHIEVE ANTI-DRUG GOAL IN COLOMBIA

The State Department has failed to meet its 2002 goal of eradicating more
than 11,000 acres of Colombian opium poppy fields at a time when heroin
from that South American country is flooding into cities all along the East
Coast.

According to information sent by Colombian police officials to the House
Committee on International Relations, only about 7,400 acres of Colombian
opium poppy fields identified by authorities were eradicated last year -
continuing a steady decline in the U.S. program to cut Colombian poppy
production.

Opium poppy-field eradication in Colombia in 2001 was down 80 percent from
2000.

Families against mandatory minimums were on "From The Heartland" with John Kasich, a new Fox News Channel show with an ex-politician from Ohio. They discussed a crack case where the mother sold crack four consecutive times and got sentenced under the Man.Min. in Detroit. The host was extreme, insisting 30 years seemed resonable for selling crack.
There is nothing 30 years will do for a crackhead that can beat a 3 day ibogaine cure for addiction. When will these hard heads realize addiction needs cure, not punishment? It is medical, not evil.
Even though the state mandatory minimunm was repealed Chrismas Eve, the federal mandatory minimum still applies. I know, because I winessed it occur just before Christmas.

That's the big problem with all this bro, you hit it exactly. I am against the whole treatment pimp concept of drug treatment which I find very personally offensive and disgusting. But as I said I do go to groups once in a while. What is so hard about that is that my experience with that is exactly what you just said. I am either of the cult or I am not. I have found it impossible to go to any meeting once in a while and then come back there without even ever being a big member or anything, without having all these people try to save me when I am not trying to be saved, I'm doing good I maybe wanted to go unload a little somewhere but I find I have to go to a different meeting every time.

It's not so bad right now and not something I think about very much because I've been in a good space for at least 6 months now, but when I was struggling it was always the exact thing you described. If I make a choice to do something other than the twelve steps it is not like anyone wishes me well or even accepts it, I am right away on some enemy of the cult list and have people saying I'm doing all these things because I left their group.

It is impossible to take what you find useful and leave the rest. Maybe this is not how it's meant to be but none of the 12 step groups I have ever been to where about people helping each other and accepting different answers. You are either in or you're on the enemy list. It's their way or you are lost. And that is a cult, not a self help group.

Peace out,
Curtis

I know exactly what you mean. I go to meetings sometimes and i fucked up and told them i was on methadone. I was shunned, looked down upon and told i was still using. NA here in North Carolina was started by a bunch of people who were on methadone. Now it seems like most of the people there never even used dope (heroin). It mostly consists of crack heads and pot smoking teenagers. It is very clicky and there is a big conform vibe. If you don't dress like us listen to our music and get your tounge pierced we wont accept you into the circle. I just don't get anything out of it

I agree with you about that issue of people concerning themselves with your business when it comes to 12 step stuff.  The "literature" on NA says pretty clearly that whatever meds a person takes is between them, their physician and their "higher power."  It's really no one's business what you do and also there are plenty of folks in the program on maintenance stuff here in my town.  I also know some meth addicts in the program who suffer from ADD and are basically taking prescription speed as prescribed by their doctor.
Truthfully, (and I don't want to push any 12-step stuff on anyone) but the AA meetings I've gone to are about a thousand percent more positive and open to "whatever works," than I've ever found NA.  I've never been an alcoholic, but no one gives a rip and half or more of the folks there now are opiate or coke addicts.  So, if you do like a meeting now and then you might want to try the AA meetings instead.
I also think people who are managing to stay clean are just afraid of relapsing, and if you tell someone they might use a different way than what's working for them, they freak.  I think staying clean no matter how, is damn difficult, for me anyway.  No doubt the steps have given me some great tools, but just like christianity, the people who represent the ideas are often its greatest detractors.  Doesn't mean the ideas aren't useful. (Please don't confuse me with being a christian.  My reaction to that subject is similar to Patrick's to the 12 steps..)

On the other hand,I'm definitely interesting in hearing from anyone who's taken a low dose of ibogaine over a period of time to arrest cravings.  I'm just not up to a full-blown ibogaine session again, but I would sure like to revisit iboga and that feeling of no craving for a while.  Anyone got any advice?  Does a low dose still cause some tripping?  I am supersensitive to all drugs, ibogaine included. Any advice appreciated...
Best wishes to all,  Sandy Watson

Hi Marc,
I realize you've not had the Iboga Therapy House up and running for too
long, but I'm curious: What sort of relapse rates are you seeing? Do you see
any better results than those from the usual treatment models yet? I'm sure
that kicking at the Iboga Therapy House must be much, much nicer for the
addicts than at most facilities, considering the descriptions of your
operation I've read, but what longer term results are you seeing so far?
Does it appear to you that using ibogaine/ etc to detox people is helping
afterwards, in other words, does it help people cope after kicking better
than other models of treatment? Or is it still too early to tell?

Preston

What we are doing with a crack cocaine user now is a dose of 4,500 - 5,000
mg
INDRA-DK extract, at one time, this will always invoke visualization at the
90 minute mark for a period of not less than 8 hours to averaging 10 - 12
hours to a high end of 18 hours. After this period there is rest and quiet.
At about 36 hours after visualization ends there is a return to regular
activity. 24-36 hours after that quiet period, a typical reaction is
increasingly positive feeling/energy. However, we found that crack
cocaine users indeed only quit when it is no longer affordable, rather than
wanting to quit per se (that is, they want to quit because of family and
financial crises),
As soon as they had money in their hands, temptation flooded into their
brain.

I observed some cocaine users behave
normally until the responsibility of money is in their hands, then panic and
collapse. This lends credibility to the legalization theory that says free
or inexpensive legal cocaine is really whats required here. The crack
cocaine users seem improved by their ibogaine experience and the relapse
(they confess quite readily)  isn't to the degree of previous usage, but
unless a change of will is brought forth, I am of the slippery slope
sensibility here. The opiate addicts show must greater appreciation, though
poly drug users are the norm any more. The opiate/methadone user usually is
tired of the 'life', has a more basic urge to change. However, I learn alot
about each person and so far have
enjoyed each experience with all the persons using ibogaine in our care. So
to deal with this we are providing a daily 20mg. ibogaine hydrochloride, to
be taken orally for 20 days after the initial serious experience. What I
notice thats fascinating about ibogaine is that every person we give it to
tells us that all 'bad' things taste terrible. Cigarettes taste awful, beer
tastes awful, sugar can taste awful. I am hoping the small daily doses
lengthen the effectiveness of the experience so that the patient can get
some momentum. We shall see.

If you have other questions, I will certainly oblige you of what I know.

My initial response was to advise against on principle that taking a strong
psychoactive to help deal with an incidence of psychosis was generally not a
good idea! Then thinking about it I thought that perhaps the risperdone
would merely block the psychoactive effects of ibogaine.

I am guessing and was wondering basically if there are any contraindications
with antipsychotic drugs, any physical dangers for him. And also whether
anyone knows if it would block the psychoactive effects of the ibogaine.

The guy is in a catch 22. He wants to give up drugs because they are making
him mad (in his words) and yet the one thing that may help may also interact
badly with the drugs he is taking to control the madness! He has said that
he missed taking the medication a few times and suffered no psychotic
effects. His episode of psychosis involved voices in his head among other
uncomfortable physical effects. I asked him why he hasn't tried coming off
the medication and he said that he only saw the psychiatrist every 3 months
and the last visit was uneventful and no suggestions to come of the drugs
were given.

Can anyone give more info on crack induced psychosis?

Could he take the ibogaine on top of the medication, or should he come off
the medication, or should he completely avoid taking ibogaine.

Any medical and psychiatric advice would be most welcome.

hHey all,
Hold on a sec...a professional doctor put someone on an anti-psychotic
drug for cocaine psychosis? (re: below questions on Risperdone/crack
psychosis) That is the very first time I've ever heard anything even
remotely like that. A doctor is treating cocaine psychosis with an
anti-psychotic drug...hmmm, is it helping, do you know? I mean, can and does
the person seeking treatment use crack while on this Risperdone and not
suffer psychosis?
That was some of the very worst part of cocaine abuse in my own case,
and a very big huge gargantuan part of the reason I really, really wanted
off cocaine when I stopped using it. Is it the cocaine or the cut that
causes that, if you'll allow me to get slightly off the topic?
I can only say from personal long past experience that servere cocaine
psychosis, and I mean to the point where I was absolutely out of my gourd
psychosis-ridden each and every time I shot up, passes fairl soon after the
rush, in some cases maybe after an hour or two has passed in rare
occaisions, at least until the user used again, in my case anyway.
Aren't there a few hours somewhere when he/she's not actually using
crack, and therefore not psychotic at those times?
I'm sorry for not being able to help at all with your questions on
risperdone, but at least the crack psychosis will usually not be a factor as
long as there's no crack being used right before you treat with ibogaine, at
least I would imagine.
And thanks for your earlier reply to my questions about your experience
so far with relapses after treating people Marc. Your points about the
cocaine/crack addicts rings a bell or two. But I've found that in my case
and in the case of a few others' I know as well, (granted just a few- and
there's those still out using, say, happy to be on methadone in some
instances because now they can concentrate full time on getting their
cocaine/crack) similarly to my old opiate use situation, with cocaine I
finally reached a point where it was the lifestyle not the funding that
inspired me to stop, considering that for the last few years using both
substances I'd not had a penny usually at the beginning of each and every
day anyway, so not having any money and having to come up with it for each
shot was standard operating proceedure, not something that usually had me
ready to quit.
But you are also right about the money/temptation thing. With cocaine it
was always much, much harder, for quite some time too, to have money in my
hands and not have to deal with extreme cravings.
I'm really impressed with what you're doing up there.

Preston

Both alkaloids revealed a potent leishmanicide effect against Leishmania

both alkaloids were neither toxic to murine macrophages nor did they modulate
their oxidative or cytokine production responses.

Please subscribe to new MMM email list. Public archive still open.

The public MMM email list at Yahoo Groups now requires people to subscribe
in order to post messages to the list and the public archive. For a few
weeks I set it up so that non-members could also send in email messages to
the list. That was to help people send in MMM rally reports. It worked.
The archive also got some spam too. That was deleted. But people should
keep sending in MMM-related stuff. Just subscribe first.

The MMM message archive itself is still public and accessible to anybody:

*MMM (Million Marijuana March) and Global Cannabis Action. Marches and
rallies, the first Saturday in May of each year. Worldwide (since 1999).

cities so far ... and counting!!! Other multi-city cannabis and drug
reform events are covered, too. Email list public archive for event info,
ideas, MMM 2002 rally reports, photo attachments, links, HTML web pages,
etc.. Also, Dana Beal's most recent messages include the latest,
continually-revised, compilation of MMM 2003 cities, contacts, and rally
info. After subscribing to this Yahoo Group email list, please use

there are links to archived messages, and to web pages with even more MMM
