Subject: [ibogaine] Enquirer or Star?
Status:
Yesterday someone told me that they saw an article in either the
National Enquirer or the Star about Nick Nolte and Ibogaine.
Suppossedly it was titled "the treatment of the stars" and
was published around December 1othish. Did anybody here see such
an article? I tried a brief google search with no luck.
Thanks,

RARE ROOT HAS CELEBS BUZZING--ABOUT DETOX
Great news for the Matt Perrys, Diana Rosses, Nick Noltes and Robert
Downey Jrs. of the world. Now the numerous celebs who look for relief
from their tough lives in the bottom of a bottle of Jack Daniel's, a
needle or prescription medicine may be able to kick their destructive
habits in a snap.
This new treatment will set them back $14,000, and they'll have to fly
abroad. But a Miami doctor is telling Confidential that he's designed
a new detox program that has secretly helped "Congressmen and
movie and rock stars" get off drugs and booze without the
traditional unpleasantness.
"No painful withdrawal symptoms, no falling off the wagon,"
says Dr. Jeffrey Kamlet.
"All they have to do is take a small pill. We monitor them in a
clinic for three days the pill acts on their bodies, and that's pretty
much it."
There is, however, a tiny caveat, which some of our favorite A-listers
might consider a fringe benefit.
The $3,00 pill--made of a rare, ground African root named
ibogaine--causes hallucinations. Because of that, it's currently
banned in the United States.
But Kamlet's clinic, Healing Visions, is located on the Caribbean
island of St. Kitts, where Ibogaine is allowed.
"When you take it, you feel like you're watching 12 different TV
screens at the same time, and your life is what's on TV," Kamlet
says.
"But when you come out of it, your physical need for the
substance you're addicted to has vanished."
Kamlet says that detox candidates are monitored by ICU-type nurses
during their Ibogaine trip, then they go through counseling before
being released after two weeks.
"I'm getting calls every week from people who have spent $200,000
on detox and need more help," Kamlet says. "Some of the
biggest names in showbix, believe me. I've treated 400 people, and no
one has relapsed.

List, sorry I need to apologize.
I said "> Either Kamlet is a low-life treatment pimp
liar or the Star misquoted him - or both."
And that is not right, it could be that Mr. Kalmet is
so inept as to not to be able to tell when his
patients have relapsed. Funny how guys like that
usually say stuff like "how do you tell an addict is
lying?, because thier lips are moving" and now all of
a sudden they are all telling the gods honest truth
about HIS pet treatment and gosh darn it, he as the
one and only magic method for ibogaine administration
that is in fact a total cure, zero failures - which
you can only get from him of course. Then again he
could be have a case of denial, ya think?
Kalmet, hey KID, why don't you go get yourself strung
out for a couple decades and come back when you have
grown up, and wipe the snot off your face, people will
take your money. I have more respect for the dope
peddler on the corner than I do for you, and trust him
more... That is of course if what I have read about
you is true and factual.
$14 grand... what is it, ozoneated ibogaine,
magnetized, got some tackion radiation added, blessed
by the Pope, collected by pygmies maybe?
Just curious, guess it is the magic of Mr. Kalmet that
accounts for the other 99% of the cost of treatment -
as the ibogaine will cost roughly 1%+- a few bucks of
that. And no wonder, he has the only one time ibogaine
treatment in the world, good thing people don't need
re-treats...

PEYOTE ON THE BRAIN
Is the Secret to Alcoholism and Other Addictions Locked Up in the

Even with several tablespoons of peyote in me, by 3 in the morning

Navajo
Nation, the largest Indian reservation in the United States, with 20

hi, i'm nic i'm a pisces/dragaon, (which means i blow steam), i'm 38
and,
since Apollo has posted elsewhere that his dancing/ravin' career
started @
Woodstock, mine began on May Day, 1979, when I split from
parents home and
attended my first cannabis smoke-in in NYC's Washington Square
Park,
followed by my first Rock Against Racism concert @ the Bandshell in
Central
Park.
I hooked up with the organizers of those events that very day, moved
in with
them, and I'd like to say I never looked back, but I did, by moving
back to
my parents home every now and then.
Prolly one of the dumber decisions I ever made, but oh well.
But my focus was with these good people and I lived with them on and
off for
a three year period, @ 9 and 10 Bleecker Street in NYC, at what is now
the
current World Headquarters for the http://www.cures-not-wars.org/
these are
the same people who are doing some cutting edge work in the field
of
'addiction interruption' by dissemenating information they have
compiled
over the last few years on the use of the psychedelic plant,
ibogaine.
They've just been written up in JAMA, which is major huge.
Turns out, that while we were partying across the street they were
busy
putting this work together.
Who knew?
Additionally, they are one of the major forces in America today for
the
repeal of Cannabis Prohibition that we are currently suffering under
in this
country.
'The Million Marijuania March" this coming May 3rd is also
them.
Why I say my raving career began there is, while 9 Bleecker Street was
the
office space, #10 was actually:
'Studio 10'
a live work space that we held parties in at least 3 nights a week,
much
like today's UG's for a period of a few years, it was hella fun, but
the
space was lost in a landlord tenant dispute, and so it goes.
I was young then and dinn't know that this was something I wanted to
pursue,
so in a word, I went straight for over a decade, did college, enlisted
in
the service, worked on Wall Street and SF's Financial District and
essentially never went out, save to Clubland, from time to time.
The closest i came to a rave was hearing B.A.D. mention raves in a
song of
theirs almost 12 years ago, and I kinda knew something was up, because
the
line was:
'It's one am, let's go out to a rave...'
Everyone knows that at that time things are *closing* not starting, so
my
interest was piqued, but I dinn't follow-up on it, since my focus was
on
that brass ring thing, which in the end left me broke, physically
injured
with a mild chronic upper back problem, and more trouble than you can
shake
a stick at.
As you can imagine, I was pretty unhappy with all this.
Some other things came up, I moved to Silicon Valley, and it still
didn't
dawn on me that there was/is another way.
In 1998, i hooked up w/some people, rediscovered my love of music
through
them and attended my first local party in November, on Friday the
13th, were
we coming from the first house party I had ever thrown.
The party we went to was crewed by the Enchanted Broccoli Forest
people and
they had taken over a space 100 times larger than Studio 10.
I was the guy in the Marine Corps Dress Blue uniform costume, in case
anyone
here remembers that party.
Was struck by a couple things right off the bat.
#1 Dinn't see any alcohol being served
#2 A chill room, which changes everything, cuz the last thing clubs
want you
to do is sit still, think, and not not buy alcohol
#3 People seemed pretty happy
#4 Every other damned raver in there was wearing those red blinky
LED's
incorporated into jewelry, which was kinda irksome because my Dad
held a
patent on those LED's and actually tried to market them as jewelry in
the
late 1970's, I'm just glad i was able to tell him about it before he
passed
away, he thought it was hella cool.
>From that point on, I'd like to say raving became my life, but
alas and
alack that was not the case, if anything my involvement has been
glacial, it
was another 6 months before I even subbed here on sfraves.
For the last two years i wanted to step up my involvement past posting
on
this list, but I made a few decisions around work and my personal life
that
impeded that goal, so i only got to go to a few parties in that
period, and
i'm just now only starting to catch on to EDM.
Having a g/f with hundreds of CD's and thousands upon thousands of
vinyl
records in the basement *really* helps, and it doesn't hurt that she's
been
going out to parties for years, as a matter of fact we met on another
list,
so yeah, she's a raver babe, lucky me.
that, and through her, i'm beginning to puzzle out the differences
between
genres, Ishkur helped a bit, but there's nothing like being taught one
to
one.
we don't have any decks yet, since we can't afford them yet, the move
was
costly, since I'm now clear across the country in DC, which,
surprise,
surprise, also has a bright and vibrant scene, which some say may be
on par
with the Bay Area's, though UG's are a lil way off, but there is
some
cross-pollination and some locals have recently visited the Bay
Area and are
looking to start some of their own.
I've been to more parties in the two months that i've been here than i
have
in the last two years, and before I left the Bay Area, DJ Jack Triumph
asked
me to try my hand at promoting him and I'd be remiss without
mentioning his
site, www.JackTriumph.com and letting you know you can DL his
breakthrough
release :
"Rome Rebuilt - The Studio Sessions,"
as well as his latest:
"Paganism,"
from the site's DL page, enjoy, it's pretty thumping.
Also, SiliconSalon.com is in the middle of a DNS transfer as we
speak.
My original concept was something along the lines of what
www.hyperreal.org
was already doing, but I dinn't even know they existed when i
founded it in
1997 and they had like a 5 year headstart on me, and my focus ended up
being
more on the goings on in Silicon Valley, as it turned out, but I'm
switching
gears and am going to focus on rave and EDM culture, as well as host
of
other topics and am looking for raver fellow travellers to work with
with
this, i'll kepp you posted as this process moves further along....
Apollo, any chance we can mirror your House Music 101History Book?
We'd love to have you contribute, if you don't mind.
I got a great deal on the hosting from another raver on a local list
here
who runs www.epitomized.com and I promised him to refer people by word
of
mouth, so I just did.
So, yeah, I'm a raver, and i'm not going anywhere, and look forward to
a
long and healthy future in 'the scene' as it were, and where it will
take me
I don't know, tho' i don't see any downside to keeping my nose clean,
my
head straight and going out and dancing, dancing, dancing the night
away.
As the Eminem sez, it's good to be back.....

POT-SMOKING MOTORIST NOT GUILTY OF IMPAIRED DRIVING
PEMBROKE, ONT. - An Ottawa Valley man who was pulled over while
smoking a
marijuana joint has been found not guilty of driving while
impaired.
Rick Reimer, a retired lawyer from Killaloe, Ont., has been granted
an
exemption by Health Canada to smoke marijuana to help him with his
multiple
sclerosis. In February 2002, he was pulled over for crossing the
centre
line. The officer noticed that he was smoking a joint and charged him
with
impaired driving.
But Reimer, who defended himself in the case, insists that marijuana
does
not impair his ability to drive.
"I know that I'm not guilty, I'm innocent and I hoped that the
court would
see it that way and I'm glad the court did," said
Reimer.

ACTIVIST GUILTY -- AND PROUD OF IT
Rabbi Ariel Pedersen desperately wants to be Minnesota's marijuana

So, she's thankful to the Chisago County judge who sentenced her

five years of probation and 90 days of home monitoring, clearing the

Pedersen, a former burlesque dancer who fashioned herself into a

"Thank you, your honor," she said, exiting the courtroom.
"If I had a

WHO IS ED ROSENTHAL
And
WHY DOES THE FEDERAL
GOVERNMENT
WANT TO PUT HIM IN
JAIL?
January, 2003
Ed Rosenthal is recognized worldwide as an
authority on marijuana. In his thirty-plus years as a cannabis expert,
he has written or edited more than a dozen books about marijuana
cultivation and social policy, that cumulatively have sold over one
million copies. Rosenthal is a member of the International Cannabinoid
Research Society and the Garden Writers Association of America, and
has served as an expert witness on marijuana cultivation in federal
and state trials.
Rosenthal has also been active in promoting
and developing policies of civil regulation for medical marijuana.
Since the passage of Californias pioneering Prop 215 in 1996, which
authorizes medicinal use of marijuana, he has worked with the
states growers, dispensaries, and local governments to standardize
and implement the delivery of pharmaceutical grade cannabis to
patients.
On February 12, 2002, Ed was arrested
by federal agents for applying his knowledge and helping patients to
use medical marijuana. He has been charged on three counts of
cultivation and conspiracy, and if convicted faces a minimum of 10
years in prison.
Ed Rosenthal is a threat to many in the
federal government and their efforts to continue the War on Drugs.
Having observed government policies in Europe and Canada that now
recognize the beneficial applications of cannabis, he is an out spoken
advocate for similar advances within the United States. For many,
Rosenthals situation focuses attention on the fact that the laws
have become more harmful to society than what they were intended to
regulate. The current administration is further threatened by the
probability that Eds acquittal will stop their interference with
the right of states and voters to regulate their own health and
welfare, as California has done with Prop. 215.
On January 6, Eds lawyers will present
arguments in U.S. federal court in San Francisco to have the charges
against him dismissed. If they do not prevail, a trial date of January
20 has already been set. The question is clear will those providing
medical marijuana to patients in California, in compliance with
state law, continue to be prosecuted by the federal government? In
recent polls 70% of the public show support for the use of medical
marijuana. By making an example of such high-profile activists as Ed
Rosenthal, the Bush administration hopes to thwart the medical
marijuana movement. Eds watershed case can establish precedent for
the prosecution of similar cases in the U.S.

LAWMEN AGAINST POT ID CARDS FOR THE SICK
Alameda County police chiefs overwhelmingly oppose Supervisor Nate

Eight chiefs and the county sheriff say they wouldn't honor the cards.
The

DEA CHIEF: AFGHANISTAN UNABLE TO ENFORCE POPPY-GROWING BAN
WASHINGTON -- Associated Press -- Afghanistan's new government lacks
the
manpower to stop farmers from planting the raw material for opium, the
Drug
Enforcement Administration chief said Wednesday.
"Enforcement is where the gap is," said Asa Hutchinson,
nominated by
President Bush to become undersecretary of border and
transportation
security in the new Homeland Security Department.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai has banned growing poppies, which are
used to
make opium. Hutchinson said there have been some successes: About
one-quarter of the poppies have been destroyed, and some opium has
been
stopped at the borders.
But the government has not trained enough police to enforce the ban,
he
said, and the United Nations said Afghanistan has "largely
failed" so far.
The Taliban, which captured the country in 1996, banned poppy growing
four
years later. Farmers resumed growing poppies after the U.S.-led
coalition
ousted the Taliban in 2001 in retaliation for the Sept. 11 terrorist
attacks.
Hutchinson said poppy planting is at pre-Taliban levels.
While traditional drug traffickers are handling the Afghan opium, some
of
the money may wind up in the pockets of terrorist groups, Hutchinson
said.
"You sometimes see an intersection between those who are
interested in
terrorism and those who are interested in ... drug trafficking,"
he said.
The agency is stepping up efforts to find and develop informants who
can
look for drug trafficking and terrorist activity, Hutchinson said. One
tip
led to the arrest in North Carolina of a person on the
government's
terrorist watch list, he said.

Yes it is terrible about Bush. I seem to

time to dig up and make public all the dirt on the Bush boys since
George has shown his true mean drunkeness(at least I heard he is a
mean drunk when he drinks) He is deieberately putting a whole
lot of peoples lives in danger with his rhetoric and the decisions he
is making as president. He is much worse than Clinton because he
kowtows to the hardline rightwingers who funded his election and told
him who to put into office as Csar, Attorney General etc. I may
be a natural republican myself but I hate Bush for what he is, the
scion of money, privilage and power who believe they have the right,
nay the destiny to rule the rest of us to do as we say and not as we
do. That sure sounds familiar, oh yea, every parent who ever
lived. Seems like Bush and his like are very condescending
towards our political rights and is moving to turn America into a
dictatorship and even to reinstating the use of assassination as a
policy tool in foriegn affairs and maybe even domestic policy tool,
targeted at anyone who opposes them. We are in very dangerous
times people. We are all grown up now from the sixties and
things are headed towards something much worse than what we had then.
I was just a kid in grade school then but I felt as strongly for the
fight for rights then as I do now even though I was an Army brat with
my father doing two tours in Nam in Saigon as a censor or something I
think, he never talked about what he did except to say where he was
stationed but he was Signal Corps and a Sergeant Major. Anyway,
the kids in the military mostly weren't born during Nam and they are
going to start dieing because our present government appears not to be
very interested in peace with its lip service to it but rather in
flexing our muscle and going to kill a lot of foreigners. Just
thought you should have some feedback. Robert

RESEARCHER VOLKOW TO HEAD INSTITUTE ON DRUG ABUSE
A leading drug-addiction researcher who is a strong advocate of
treating
addiction as a disease said she has accepted an offer to lead the
U.S.

JESUS 'HEALED USING CANNABIS'
Jesus was almost certainly a cannabis user and an early proponent
of
the medicinal properties of the drug, according to a study of
scriptural texts published this month. The study suggests that
Jesus
and his disciples used the drug to carry out miraculous healings.
The anointing oil used by Jesus and his disciples contained an
ingredient called kaneh-bosem which has since been identified as
cannabis extract, according to an article by Chris Bennett in the
drugs magazine, High Times, entitled Was Jesus a Stoner? The
incense
used by Jesus in ceremonies also contained a cannabis extract,
suggests Mr Bennett, who quotes scholars to back his claims.
"There can be little doubt about a role for cannabis in
Judaic
religion," Carl Ruck, professor of classical mythology at
Boston
University said.

I have read this before and some quite detailed items about this
including the language that the words came from. I do believe most of
it is true, that is as far as I believe the bible in any case. Maybe
someone can help me find something I can't seem to find. I want to get
or even buy what is called a green bible. I met someone hicthhiking
who had one. A very small young rasta holy type man with dreads to his
knees who I dropped off in Takilima, Or. What I want is one of those
green bibles. It had all the hemp and merryjane parts in green writing
as well as all the ecological parts. Christs words about the subject
were bolded green. It was marked with little green tabs as well. We
were on our way to the redwood summer back when I could still drive.
It was very nice as I had just finished telling my teen daughter that
you could tell who to pick up by their vibes. She did not believe
this. We passed these two young men and we both saw the incredible
vibes coming from them and we truned around and went back and picked
them up. As if they were right on cue to make my point to my daughter
to trust her inner vioce and see the vibes. So any info on where to
find that green bible would be really nice.

Yes, this makes eminent sense to me. I've long been convinced
that cannabis played an important role in many ancient belief systems,
including that of the Greeks as well. Indeed, the so-called
"noxious vapors" (cf. Lucan, et al.) that surrounded the
Delphic Oracle's Pythia while she sat on the tripod was possessed by
Apollo were almost certainly produced by burning cannabis directly
beneath the manteion, or divination chamber. This seems to have
been a secret the Delphic priests picked up from the Scythians, who,
as Herodotus reports, regularly fumigated themselves with smoke from
burning hemp seeds (see my article "The Pneuma Enthusiastikon: On
the Possibility of Hallucinogenic 'Vapors' at Delphi and Dodona,"
ETHOS 14:76-91, 1986). That the Hebrews, especially Hebrew
mystics & healers, like Yeshua ben Yosuf (aka in Latin as
"Jesus") also made use of this psychotropic substance is
extremely probable. Thus, in effect, Jesus, John the Baptist, and
others of that ilk, like the Pythia and the Scythian shamans who used
cannabis in their rituals, were all probably
"stoners"!

Hey all,
Here's my review of Bennett and McQueen
's book for High Times, (June, 2002 issue)
Sex, Drugs, and Violence- A Review by Preston Peet (March 1,
2002)
Sex, Drug, and Violence have not only been with humanity for
eternity, but are all heavily documented in the Bible. Authors Chris
Bennett and Neil McQueen have created an exhaustive study of both the
Old and New Testaments in their new book, "Sex, Drugs, Violence, and
the Bible", (Forbidden Fruit Publishing), laying out in detail not
only how entwined in both the Judaic and Christian faiths these
subjects are, but also just how responsible they are in the formation
of the religions themselves.
This book will disturb most devout followers of the Jewish and
Christian faiths as portrayed in the modern Bible. Starting with the
Old Testament tale of the Garden of Eden, asserting that the Tree of
Life was cannabis-sativa, and that the Cain and Abel story "may in
fact have been a contrived piece of propaganda against certain
sacrificial rites of Near Eastern fertility cults," the authors move
merrily along, documenting various respected religious figures who
partake in the smoke of cannabis-laden incense and other psychedelic
substances, fornicate, and commit slaughter before, during and after
communing with their God.
The authors then dissect the New Testament, giving evidence that
not only may Jesus have been married, and/or gay, but that to attain
his Messiah-hood, he was anointed by John the Baptist with an oil that
contained large amounts of cannabis. Most alarmingly to the devout,
Jesus and his disciples may have pulled off an elaborate hoax
utilizing drugs to feign death in the crucifixion and resurrection
incident.
The authors rely not only on the tracts the modern Bible
contains, but also on many early Jewish and Christian texts, like
those of the Gnostics, that were excluded as heretical by early Church
fathers. Bennett and McQueen assert that religion, as portrayed in the
Bible today, is basically a tool used in a conspiracy to further
isolate humanity "from the natural world - Eden, which continually
finds itself buried beneath cites and asphalt - The Highway to Hell is
indeed paved. The rediscovery of the entheogens [plant hallucinogens]
may offer us a means of reacquaintance with the natural order, and a
way to return back to the garden. For if there is one thing that can
break through the pavement encasing our earthly paradise, it's a
weed."

Well, duh!
Classical Judaic commentators on the verse in exodus that describes
the holy Qaneh Bosem, amongst the other three "mashiach"
(annointment) oils as being "head spices" (BiSaMiM ROSh),
define the obscure term, "Head Spices", used to
describe nothing else in the Tanach except for Cinnamon, Quassia, and
Myrrh, as meaning "important" (ChaShuViM) according to
Rashi, elucidated by Rav Moshe Ibn Nachman as meaning "valued
highly in every nation."
The word "QaNeH BoSeM" is very signifigant of itself.
it's two words, QaNeH, related to the Greek "Cane,"
meaning basically the same thing. Reed. Windpipe.
The space from the elbow to the wrist. A bird's nest in Hebrew
is a KaiN. Adam's son Cain (QaYiN) who represents the universe
of Chaos, and the nationalistic hold-on-to-what-I-have-and-where-I-am
land farmer instinct as opposed to the flowing flock following sheep
herder type. An Accuisition is called a QiNYaN. To purchase is
LiQNoT.
A cane is basically anything that connects two thing, that brings one
closer to the other, or rather, into the other. It's so deep,
gevalt. Aseh Lecha Rav, Qineh lecha Chaver. Teachers are
made, but friends are accuired.
God is praised in psalms and much of the Hebrew prayer Liturgy
(notably in the Shmonah Esrai and in the Sanctification of the Moon
rituals.) as Qoneh Hakol, Accuires the everything. The implication is
that there has been a separation, that, when God creates me, he lets
go of me a little bit. When you create something, you're giving
it space from yourself to go out and be in the world.
How do you know you've created something beautiful? You hear it, you
see it, you taste, and smile to yourself: That's mine. that's my
song, that's my painting. It's its own thing, of course, with its own
life and it's own existence. And I know that it's mine forever.
One of the secret powers of Marijuana, it brings back lost memories,
lost feelings and sensations. From childhood from the deepest places,
it brings them back. Paralyzed people, physically and
spiritually, it gives them the sensations they thought they'd lost
forever. Things they'd forgotten they'd ever had.
In the Bible, God doesn't create man and woman straight out.
first he creates the together, according to ancient Jewish
tradition, facing away from each other. Then he puts them into a
deep sleep, and separates them. Only then to they see each
other, do they embrace. It's so deep.
When you're somewhere nice forever, born on
the farm, in the city whatever, you don't appreciate it so much.
When you leave, you grow, you learn something new. and when you
come back! Ah! it's so beautiful it's so new and old at the same
time.
And the love, the appreciation is stronger. The world is
perfect, order reigns, and everything is working as it should be!
Gets boring, we stop growing. things get intense for
awhile, something new is introduced, and it gets worked out. And
we come back home, and I'm in love like i've never been before.
Forgetting is death a little bit. There's a blessing said by
Jews who don't each each other for more than a year or so. Baruch
Michaye Ha Maythim, Thank you Lord, who ressurects the dead.
I forgot you, i didn't think about you for a long time, so
it's like you died to me. I see you again, I remember you, it's
like you came back from the dead.
When you marry someone, it's called an accuisition. In Babylon, it's
about control, but really, it's so much deeper. Everyone knows,
when you meet your soulmate, it's kinda meeting someone new, but
really, it's someone you recognize from before creation.
"Don't i know you from somewhere?" You got
separated, somewhen. And know, you're mine again. Welcome home,
baby!
And when a relationship is really deep, it mamish brings you both back
from the dead.
We should be blessed, the herb we smoke should only make us forget
traumas, and remember the secret good that's so much deeper.
May the evil prohibition of Hashem's righteous creations
be ended, may all the captives be freed to come home, and may the
divine presence rest on us all. may all our words be healing and all
our love go deep.
----Yoseph
There's alot to be said about the Bosem half
of the word too, but for another time.

every paper in the world, I think. Its in the Vancouver Sun, Ottawa
Citizen today, its been in the Times Of India, the Indian Express, a
South African Daily, a Paris daily, the Guardian (UK), The Washington
Post, a horde of others. Chris Bennett is doing interview after
interview today. And here's me thinking everyone knew Jesus wore hemp
as well as HE was annointed with it. Its ironic that High Times
gets its greatest PR in the mainstream press from an article by a
person in my organization. Share the love!

Please subscribe to new MMM email list. Public archive still
open.
The public MMM email list at Yahoo Groups now requires people to
subscribe
in order to post messages to the list and the public archive. For
a few
weeks I set it up so that non-members could also send in email
messages to
the list. That was to help people send in MMM rally reports. It
worked.
The archive also got some spam too. That was deleted. But people
should
keep sending in MMM-related stuff. Just subscribe first.
The MMM message archive itself is still public and accessible to
anybody:

*MMM (Million Marijuana March) and Global Cannabis Action. Marches
and
rallies, the first Saturday in May of each year. Worldwide (since
1999).
May 3 2003, May 4 2002. May 5, 2001. May 6, 2000. May 1, 1999.
Over 200
cities so far ... and counting!!! Other multi-city cannabis and
drug
reform events are covered, too. Email list public archive for
event info,
ideas, MMM 2002 rally reports, photo attachments, links, HTML web
pages,
etc.. Also, Dana Beal's most recent messages include the
latest,
continually-revised, compilation of MMM 2003 cities, contacts,
and rally
info. After subscribing to this Yahoo Group email list, please
use
cannabisaction@yahoogroups.com for sending in messages. On
the homepage
there are links to archived messages, and to web pages with even
more MMM
links, info, and rally report compilations online.
