To get on the poster for 2004--"Mayday is Jay Day"--check yr contact info and email me back telling me to add yr city to the List at the top of this email. Right now the last listing we have for you is as follows:
Eaton: Andy Fudge fudgeie@... 210 eaton lewisburg rd apt#61 Rally 12 noon -- lots of kick ass specialtiesBy the way, I lost about three weeks email not long after this year's event. Did anything happen on the first Saturday of May in yrour area? Numbers? Arrests? Media? Anything of interest happen, etc?
You can also call me at 212-677-4899.

P.S.: We are also interested in adding to our list of prestigious endorsers, which consists of pot activists well-known in their city or country. We need a name and phone number for each. Any suggestions?P.P.S: We need on average $100 for each affiliate to print and ship this year's poster. If you can't send it, we have to raise it somewhere else.HELP RAISE MONEY FOR THE MILLION MARIJUANA MARCH--BOOK A YIPPIE SPEAKER!
Recently we wrote you that we need on average $100 for each affiliate to print and ship this year's poster--and that if you can't send it, we have to raise it somewhere else.
You can help. Go to http://www.yippiespeakers.com Here's the good news: 20% of all speaker fees go to printing and operating expenses for the MMM 2004. (If you can get me booked personally it's 100%.)
Some of these speakers like Grace Slick and Hunter Thompson get $25,000 just for appearing at yr local university! (Some like Dennis Peron are available for a few thousand) Your local group gets 4% finders' fee.
What we need you to do is contact yr local on-campus activists and have them agitate their student affairs folks in charge of outside speakers (or equivalent) to book some of our speakers. It's important to clarify that we are NOT asking them to get this from the budget of their NORML or SSDP chapter, but from the campus office that books outside speakers. (At Kent State they call it the Office of Student Life, and they paid me $4,000 for a three hour appearance, which went straight to the printer.)
It's a good year for it. Things have come full-circle for Yippie! We have all the elements--an illegitimate Republican President everyone hates at home, a quagmire war abroad--for the first time since the '70's. And best of all, even though all our speakers support cannabis and oppose the drug war, they are Yippie, not legalization speakers, so you won't have to deal with demands from the university administration that you find some anti-drug speaker for "Balance" or you don't get the booking. (Since we are moving toward protests against the Republican Convention in NYC next August, to be fair they'd have to demand an opponent of protests, period, which is absurd.)
If you have a hot prospect, email me right back; but since about half of everything sent to this address "bounces", be sure to also put in a call to the speakers bureau at 212-529-3026, and leave a message if no one picks up. Or call me at 212-677-7180.Dana/cnw*****!!! confiscated to Karel Hollman (25) as criminal offense. He specificaly
declared, that his judgment is about to hightlight commonly accepted
fact, that social risks of cannabis are much smaller than risks of hard
drugs like heroine or metamphetamine.
Czech law doesn't recognize between soft and hard drugs, but
classifies possession of "small" amount of drug as minor offense, while
possession of "larger then small" amount is crime. "Small amount" of
drug, especially when declared for personal use only, can be treated as
parking-ticket-class misbehaviour, which punishable only by fine - not
by prison.
That court decission was applauded by Czech Cannabis liberation
activists as good example for other judges. It is one of largest amounts
of Cannabis still considered to be "small amount" of drug by Czech
court.

MPS VOTE TO DOWNGRADE CANNABIS
MPs today backed the downgrading of cannabis as ministers denied the
move amounted to legalisation of the drug.
The reclassification of cannabis from class B to class C was backed by
316 votes to 160, a majority of 156, despite Conservative warningsthat it would lead more young people into hard drugs. The downgrading
of cannabis is now scheduled to go ahead on January 29.
Junior home office minister Caroline Flint said the change was part of
an "honest and credible" strategy to tackle the scourge of drugs,
denying it was tantamount to legalising the drug or would increase
cannabis use.
Under the switch, cannabis will be ranked alongside bodybuilding
steroids and some anti-depressants.
Possession of cannabis will no longer be an arrestable offence in mostcases, although police will retain the power to arrest users in
certain aggravated situations - such as when the drug is smoked
outside schools. The home secretary, David Blunkett, has said the
change in the law is necessary to enable police to spend more time
tackling class A drugs such as heroin and crack cocaine which cause
the most harm and trigger far more crime.
Ms Flint told MPs: "This Labour government is absolutely right to focus on
the most dangerous drugs, to intervene most vigorously in the most damaged
communities and to seek to break the link between addiction and the crime
that feeds it.
"And to reduce harm that drugs cause by addressing the chaotic
lifestyles of those users who are harming themselves and harming others."
Educating young people about the dangers of drugs, preventing drug
misuse, combating the dealers and treating addicts were key elements
of the strategy, she said.
Criticising the change, the shadow home secretary, Oliver Letwin, said
the government's drugs policy was now in a "dreadful muddle". He
called it a half-way measure aimed at short-term popularity rather
than a coherent adoption of either the decriminalisation philosophy of
the Netherlands or the more prohibitive stance of Sweden. With mostTories absent from the Commons in order to attend the vote on Iain
Duncan Smith's leadership, there were barely any MPs in the chamber, with those present complaining that only one and a half hours were
allowed for debate.
Ms Flint told MPs it was important to have an "honest discussion" with
children about drugs.
"They can see for themselves the different effects of drugs, and
therefore if we are not having honest discussion they will not
listen," she said.
"This is not about legalisation, it's about having to have a mature
discussion about drugs, about the relative harms." She went on: "The
right strategy we must use is what works. We must be honest and
credible and rely on science, not prejudice." The treatment of all
drugs as equally harmful and dangerous "lacked credibility" with young
people.
"Individual police forces have developed disparate policies on the
policing of cannabis possession based on their own view of the
relative seriousness of the offence, leading to inconsistency and alack of proper political accountability."
Ms Flint said that by upping penalties for dealing hard drugs to 14
years while at the same time reclassifying cannabis the governmentwould be sending a "very strong message" to dealers.
Reclassification would provide police with an opportunity to put in
place a "consistently and properly thought-out" approach to drugs and
allow them to redeploy officers to tackle hard drugs.
But the powers of arrest in place for cannabis would not apply to
other class Cs such as tranquillisers or anabolic steroids. "The
policing regime will ensure that action is properly taken by police
against someone who is causing a problem or needs help whilst avoiding
needlessly charging large numbers of young people," she said. In a
series of interventions from the back benches, MPs set out both sides
of the argument for downgrading cannabis.
Labour's Martin Salter said the government would be doing young people
a "grave disservice" by allowing them to think that all drugs were the
same.
Fellow Labour MP David Cairns said heroin was "far more damaging, far
more pernicious and far more destructive of communities" than cannabis.
And Tory John Bercow asked the minister to consider legalising
cannabis as "it must be desirable to break the link between the softdrug user and the hard drug pusher".
But Tory Graham Brady claimed that cannabis was 10 or 15 times
stronger than 20 years ago and that it was "perverse" to propose
downgrading the drug.
Labour's John Robertson warned that the message going out to young
people was that cannabis was no longer as dangerous as it was before.
Tory Ann Winterton insisted that "sophisticated measures do not wash"
when trying to get the drug prevention message across. And fellow Tory
Angela Watkinson warned that downgrading cannabis would lead to anincrease in use of the drug and act as a "gateway" to harder drug use.----------

Germans Support Claims That US Plotted 911
"If what I say is right, the whole US government

From: Reflection By Kate Connolly
The Telegraph - UK

BONN -- A former cabinet minister is drawing huge crowds and stoking
the fires of anti-Americanism in Germany with a book arguing that the
US government mounted the Sept 11 attacks as part of a plot to win
global domination.
Andreas von Bulow has gone even further than Michael Meacher, Britain's
former environment minister, who claims the US knowingly failed to
prevent the attacks.
Von Bulow, 66, believes that Sept 11 was staged to justify the subsequentwars on Afghanistan and Iraq.
"If what I say is right, the whole US government should end up behind bars,"
he says.
The German government has made no official response to the book, although
ministers have tried to distance themselves from his views.
But von Bulow's ideas are very popular and polls show a fifth of Germans
believe Washington ordered the attacks.

Forward this to the world! henri@...---------From: paul_chang@...The 'One Gang' peril
published: Monday | October 20, 2003
MORE AND more reports are surfacing about attempts by a dominant criminal mind to consolidate disparate gangs into 'One Gang' - a supra all-inclusive fraternity of thugs and gunmen with allegiance to a single leader and an ominous common purpose to control the criminal underground. The first inkling of this was in St. Catherine and we are now hearing about the same perilous development in St. James.
The indiscipline and aggressive individualism of Jamaicans have hitherto mitigated against the consolidation of gangs but the issue is now being tested, perhaps by a potential maximo leader who does not hesitate to murder the leaders of smaller gangs who refuse the invitation to merge. And just as businessmen in the private sector have found ways of channelling the undisciplined personality of Jamaicans into productive teams, so too some deportee, with an advanced "degree" in crime earned in a foreign jail, may possess organisational skills beyond our imagination.
One such deportee is reported to be involved in the Canterbury battle and the police have declared a manhunt for him. We are concerned why deportees should be allowed such freedom to travel at will. Local police have complained that their hands are tied in relation to restriction orders recommended to be placed on a number of dangerous deportees.
It appears that court approval is required on the basis of documentation detailing trial and evidence relating to each deportee. In short, legal red tape is stymying effective surveillance of such deportees.
If such persons succeed in consolidating 'One Gang' rule the criminals would be well on their way to taking over the streets and imposing their will on the society.
If the police operation in Canterbury was as successful as the police claim, the next area to be cleaned up should be the Wareika Hills which provide habitation for criminals who sally forth into Mountain View Avenue and across the Corporate Area. To accomplish this we may well need to request the assistance of foreign police on the scale suggested by Mr. Gordon 'Butch' Stewart - some 2,000 personnel who would serve on contract as 'advisors' for a year or two.
American force serves in this capacity in many countries of the world as part of the international fight against drugs. Mr. Stewart's suggestion is not likely to appeal periodically to the present administration but, compared with declaring a state of emergency, it might be the lesser of two evils.--------
From: writch@...The following is from http://fromthewilderness.com (beyond Bush II) (Michael Ruppert). It was forwarded to me by the Reverend Tom Brown (of 'Our Church').
In the past, I might have mentioned dreams/visions I had relating to Waco and the BBQ there. These people are not good people. I have had ookey feelings about Wesley Clark since he arrived on the scene. Now I know why (he was turning the rotisserie at the BBQ).
Remember, that Democrat Governor Ann Richards sent troops to Waco on the (false) premise that the Mt. Carmel complex housed a METHAMPHETAMINE LAB!!!!
Wesley Clark
Wesley Clark has been pounced upon with adoration by progressives and Democrats as though he were a God of reason and salvation. This late-comer entered the race in September at the top of the polls. In fact, he is a reincarnation of the most corrupt and violent aspects of William Jefferson Clinton. I have great respect for author and filmmaker Michael Moore, but when I saw him endorse Wesley Clark, I nearly choked. Let's refresh everyone's memory by looking at the retired NATO Commander's history. It shows us is that he has the perfect résumé to continue the job that the Bush gang began, and then botched.
Clark first hit my radar screen way back in 1993, after it was learned that US Army troops had been dispatched to the Branch Davidian compound in Waco Texas. At the time, Clark was the commander of the 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood Texas. As the division commander, Clark was the one to authorize the release of armored units and - as later disclosed by filmmaker Michael McNulty - very likely also in command of Delta Force personnel who operated on his turf, and engaged in a brutal massacre of unarmed civilians trying to flee the burning compound. According to a well-documented September 2003 story at www.frontpagemagazine.com Clark's second in command, Pete Schoomaker, was one of two military officers to meet with Janet Reno in preparing the plans for the final assault. That made him Clark's representative.

The Canadian marijuana industry, Marc Emery, and Advanced Nutrients are
featured in Forbes magazine's November 1st edition.
The prestigious publication has a pot leaf on its cover and thorough
coverage of the Canadian marijuana industry inside.
The article was written by Forbes journalist Quentin Hardy, who also
wrote an article about Emery that was published on the front page of
the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) in 1995. The WSJ article credited Emery
with creating the entire retail marijuana seed industry, and lauded him
for being a philanthropist.
In the Forbes article, Hardy reports Emery's sales have increased from
100,000 sold per year to 350,000 sold per year since Emery founded his
seed business in 1994, even though a flood of imitators have swept in
to capitalize on what he started.
It's doubtful that Hardy could have written his article without Emery's
assistance. Emery provided Hardy with insider access to all aspects of
the pot world, from smuggling to massive commercial grow houses.
Hardy spent weeks interviewing Emery's pot work connections, while
photographers took pictures of buds, pot entrepreneurs, and grow rooms.
One of the companies Emery brought Hardy to see was Advanced Nutrients,
a Vancouver-area marijuana nutrients company that is creating
pioneering products that are revolutionizing the way marijuana is
grown.
The company gets broad coverage in Hardy's article, which notes that
Advanced Nutrients' high-quality products are increasingly available
worldwide.
"When Marc brought Mr. Hardy to our manufacturing facility, we were
thrilled," said Mike Straumietis, an Advanced Nutrients co-founder. "If
it hadn't been for Marc, we would not be in Forbes."
The Forbes article is another example of major media coverage Emery has
received this year. The Summer of Legalization tour garnered much
reporting. Emery's Iboga Therapy House is going to be featured in a
Rolling Stone article due out in the next month. Emery has been in more
than a hundred newspaper and magazine articles this year, and has also
been featured in dozens of electronic media interviews and reports
about the cross-country legalization tour, the BC Marijuana Party, and
other cannabis issues.

Giving Opiate addicted people doses of Naltreaxone or Nalaxone or Narcan is right out of Hitler's handbook. I maybe did not spell it correctly but I certainly know what it does to an addict.bf--------From: jardin.dj@...Hello, I'm quite surprised that taking marijuana can be a good idea for someone wanting and fighting to get free from addiction ?
Iboga is well known for it's ability to stop the craving for drugs by the way Ibogaïne in working on the cells sensitive to addiction, so I really don't understand how a substance known to create addiction can be of good help ?I think it would made me feel crazy to take marijuana when there is in fact no more need for that kind of stuff.
I've been reading a lot on the net about the way Iboga is given in Europe and I see a really big difference beetwen that way and the way traditional african healers, called Ngangas, do themselves.
They are rich of thousand of years of knowledge through their healing tradition with Iboga and know for sure that Iboga allows a very special work on and I'd say in the spirit, opening doors and windows for a new consciousness through the psychic process crossed.
I don't get the feeling through what I've been reading now, that most of the persons to which Iboga is given, benefit from that kind of deep knwoledge due from the people they met ? And some take it alone at home ..
I've read feed-back from persons left without understanding of this process, the different phases of symbolic "destruction and rebuilding", what the Ngangas call first the death and then the birth of the new being.
The process I've followed lasted two whole nights; as I've already said in my previous message, I've followed the process guided by a Nganga and the use of musics and rythms is totally part of the healing tools that the Nganga is using.A musicotherapist who was in Africa to perform the complete Iboga's initiation has created a pretty interesting website about the music used in the ritual, and propose pieces that can be downloaded.
Here it is : http://www.musictherapyworld.de/modules/mmmagazine/showarticle.php?articletoshow=63&language=en
I've tested the url, it's working.
He is making research about the effects of that very special kind on music on the brain, mind, spirit.
I think that it's worthwhile to get informations from the ones who first had to deal with Iboga, and maybe time to welcome what Africans have to bring to western people and culture.
I've get the feeling they know quite a lot about psychic life, and Iboga's journey is a psychic trip, spiritual one too.
Friendly,MartineFrom: ganjacat@...Most of what you said I applaud, but DO MORE RESEARCH & leave your dogma at home. Cannabis is NOT an addiction causing substance, that's why Ibo has no effect on it. Cannabis is a valid and documented medicine full stop. As a nurse, I simply listen to informations given and I've heard that some young people taking cannabis are now received in addiction centers, that was not the case before, as long as I know.
I'm not a specialist in that area, but I've heard of the research done about the healing properties of the cannabis and I'm quite sure that cannabis can be used in some case by people knowing how to deal with it for healing purpose, as for all the plants on earth.
I'm in relationship with a Bwiti Nganga and I will ask him what he thinks of joining Iboga and cannabis.
And to close the talk about it from my point of view, I'd like to say that the son of one of my friend is in jail for years because he decided to punish a dealer who didn't give him right stuff, cannabis; the dealer died, for teenagers are in jail.
There is too much violence around it, let's say cannabis isn't the solution that I would propose to someone who works to free himself/herself from chemical addiction of any kind.
But you're free to defend your own opinion.
Friendly,
