The email farther down was recently sent to my MMM-Cannabis-Action list. I consider it ontopic. It fits in with the particular focus of that list. From that list's homepage: "Creative multi-city cannabis and drug reform campaigns and issues are covered here. Especially, creative media on or off the web." Music is eminently creative media. That list has 45 members, though far more than that stop in since it is a public archive and is well-advertised.

The email below wouldn't fit in though on my MMM-only list. It has only 5 members, and very few posts since MMM posts don't really become more numerous until the last few months before MMM day, the first Saturday in May.

The email below would fit in at the original MMM-Mayday list (Dana Beal moderates). Pretty much anything goes there.

That list like Pieman's list has the most members of all the MMM lists mentioned so far. It also has the most anarchy of the MMM lists. Pretty much anything goes at Pieman's list also. Anarchy is good sometimes! Judging by numbers of members. Pieman's MMM list:

There are several other MMM lists. Anyone can start a list.
*MMM Global Cannabis Action. Million Marijuana March. Annual rallies and marches in over 200 cities. Worldwide since 1999. The first Saturday in May. Cannabis Liberation Day. LINKS, alphabetical city contact lists, event navigators, mailing lists and archives, flyers and posters, rally report compilations, media coverage, MMM history, etc..

Subject: MMM. (OT) Please Help Me With My Weed CD
Hi!
I'm releasing a CD full of songs about weed, and am looking for ways and
places to advertise and promote it.
If you have any suggestions of websites, rags, etc. that might have enough
traffic to be useful and relatively inexpensive, I'd appreciate your help!
Thanks, and pardon my intrusion onto your list.
Happy trails.
