A Picnic Fundraiser For Ronnie Naulls
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Last summer Healing Nations of Corona was raided along with the home of
the operator, Ronnie Naulls. In addition to Ronnie's arrest, his wife was
arrested and his children taken by CPS – the first time the DEA has used
this terroristic tactic against a medical cannabis provider.
Since then, the children are back home but still belong to the state and
his wife on probation. Ronnie is on house arrest and is required to drug
test every other day – an enormous expense that Ronnie has to pay out of
his own pocket.
Fortunately, Ronnie has found a legal team enthusiastic about representing
this case. They want to argue selective prosecution, entrapment and a
host of other issues. However, good representation in a federal case is
not cheap and Ronnie needs our help. Ronnie has already raised $10,000.00
and needs $20,000.00 more. His first pre-trial conference is five weeks
away.
On Saturday, April 5, 2008, from noon to 4 p.m. there will be a picnic
fundraiser for Ronnie's legal defense. Friends, I encourage you to come
spend time with Ronnie and hear his story. And of course, bring your
checkbook! Every donation this will be a great start to getting his legal
team taken care of.
Please do not let Ronnie, his wife and children fear another day that
Ronnie will have to walk into federal court with a public defender. We
must let the feds know that we will not allow one our providers go to
court without good representation. This case is an outrage and we want
these lawyers to fight for our state's rights!
Please save the date – Saturday, April 5th at noon. Please contact me
directly to RSVP and to get address and directions. I look forward to
seeing you there! Mostly, Ronnie looks forward to seeing you there. If
you can't make it – please still contribute! I'll help you may
arrangements.
