Re: New to this group....
I am glad you found this group. Welcome. MK Advocates has been quiet for a
long while. But MK Safety Net is still active and we want to get to know adult
MKs and hear their stories. We have stories from alumni of many, many boarding
schools. What happened at the boarding school MaMamou Alliance Academy is far
too common. I believe your story of survivng abuse at your boarding school. If
you pursued finding other alumni I am very sure you will find there was a
pattern of generational abuse. Yet not many former MKs want to speak their
stories.. We at MK Safety Net would like to help you in any way we can.

and as a result I did some further reading (again) on the issues in West Africa
and the NTM matter. At this point I am only comfortable to say that the abuses
that took place at these two schools happened in others. I know that for a fact
as I am a former MK and lived through it at Rubio, Venezuela. This goes back to
1964 through 1970. I am not suggesting the abuse was consistent over that
period of time but it did happen.
