International VJ Conference and Visuals Festival

AVIT was created by a core of the community at VJCentral.com with an
objective to develop a tradition for annual Audio-Visual Conferences
and VJ Summits around the world. VJCentral (www.vjcentral.com) and
VJForums (www.vjforums.com) create a central platform where visual
artists from around the world can come to share their knowledge.

AVIT Events have sprung up all over the world since it was founded in
2002, and the movement is gathering momentum. With planning for AVIT
UK 2004 and AVIT North America 2004 underway, other communities in
France, New Zealand and Japan have become interested in holding their
own events. AVIT will provide support to artists and developers to
become in touch with their local and worldwide communities and help
develop audio/visual arts into an even more diverse and vibrant
community. AVIT is an acronym for Audio-Visualize it.

AVIT North America 2004 festival in San Francisco June 10th-12th, 2004
features international and national VJ artist and Audio-visual
performances a trade show and educational classes on the AV arts.

The festival opens with "AVIT Theater" hosting a performance by The
Light Surgeons at the Academy of Art Auditorium, preceded by San
Francisco's Scott Pagano and Christopher Willits. The UK artists
create real time soundtracks for a narrative-driven, multi-dimensional
screen performance. Performing their US Debut of "Z-Axis" a visual
remix of the cult classic "The Fountain Head", with an architecture
and design theme.

VJ content label Lightrhythm Visuals will showcase dozens of artists
in a San Francisco-style fusion of art gallery, immersive performance
and thumping dance party. Special guest artists D-Fuse (UK), Koil
(SF), and Peter Mettler (Toronto) round out Lightrhythm's visual,
