A group to meet other parents of children diagnosed with Miller-Dieker Lissencephaly, a chromosome deletion of 17p13.3., for support, discussion of health issues, medications, and life with a special child. Miller-Dieker syndrome (MDS) causes profound disabilities , such as mental retardation, severe developmental delays, feeding problems, sometimes heart and lung problems and usually a shortened lifespan. I am the mother of a daughter born 1/31/01 with MDS. She is 8 years old now, in 2009, and has three older brothers and 2 younger brothers!
