I just found out about it too. It will only pay after
your state resources are used up. Apply for your state
medicaid program, here in connecticut they have an
extra program that will cover speech,ot, etc. Contact
your state department of mental health too. Tricare is
famous for not paying for anything!! I know, I've been
there. They denied us speech therapy for my son. They
said it was not medically necessary. Right, the kid
was non verbal at the time (3yrs old). The waiting
list for developmental pediatricians can be up to 3
years. Contact your local easter seals society.
They'll have developmental pediatricians that go there
every few months. A lot of them don't take tricare, so
I would definitely call easter seals.

Yes look into medicaid. that is how i get most of my equipment for marcus. tricare wont cover the things i need. as for ssi its done on a sliding scale based...
