The whole time we have been in TriCare, I have never heard of this
program. However, I recently came across it on their website. I
was just wondering (in simple terms) what this program is usually
used for. Could it be used to cover a drs appt with a non-network
dr? I know that it also states that it will cover services not
covered in an ISP. What if I don't believe that the amount of time
that they are providing in the ISP isn't enough? Counld PFPWD be
used towards that? Has anyone done this with any success? Would
PFPWD cover items like weighted vests, swings, etc?
I know it says that there is like a copayment on this as well, based
on your rank. Does anyone know what the payment is on it for a Army
SGT with 8 yrs? We are a single income family and to have an extra
$1000 a month to spend on services and equipment thru TriCare would
be wonderful, as long as I didn't have to pay too much outta pocket.
I am full of questions, now that I finally have a place to turn to
with my concerns and questions.
How hard has it been for others to get SSI? We were turned down
once before when we lived off post, and they said it was because my
husband had been receiving US savings bonds since he enlisted. We
are stopping those as we have found that the onces we were getting
were pretty much pointless, and we are slowly cashing them in to pay
off some bills. Without those, I am hoping that we can get SSI for
Sierra.
Well, I think that pretty much covers it at this time. I am sure I
will think of something else once I sit and think for awhile. Hope
I don't wear you guys out with all my questions.
Thanks for listening and helping.
