I don't even know who my EFMP coordinator is.
Actually I do. When we found out we would be moving to this area, I called
and asked some questions............one being was there a support group on
the base for special needs parents/kids. They guy was clueless and was
absolutley no help to us at all.
They have not helped me out one bit since we moved here 8 months ago.
(Kings Bay,GA submarine base). Also was the case when we were in
Charleston,SC.
Did you say they went to your IEP meeting with you?
The only thing the EFMP program did was help decide where you were
stationed(didn't in our case) depending on your severity and you got
priority housing for you special needs child. My son is a Level 5 . We
have not updated in a while but will right before the next rotation.
The EFMP is not what is could be.
just my thoughts on it all.
