Hi Christine,
You can sign up with the "Exceptional Family Member
Program". It's usually next to the Navy Hospital. We
were stationed on Okinawa, Japan from 1995-2001 and we
were enrolled with the program for our now 14 yr. old
daughter with autism. It was a wonderful experience
working with them and made it possible for us to get
services with the school for her IEP. Speech and
Physical therapist visit the school for sessions my
daughter was receiving. Plus, I was active
volunteering in the elementary school for years. I
can not tell you any more than that. But yes, you do
need to enroll your child.
Good Luck,
Christine
