Subject: Re: Military OneSource Special Needs Webinar

Hello.
My name is Jennifer Benca. I am a member of the autism-georgia
group. I noticed that you sent this to a military support group for
autism. My husband is in the process of going back on active duty.
He was in the army prior to our marriage. He has been given the
opportunity to return to active duty and we as a family have chosen
to do this.
We do not have his report date yet, but it will probably be before
the end of the year. Possibly before the end of November. He will
have to go back through basic and AIT before we are stationed
somewhere. Currently, the children and I reside in Gwinnett County
and will remain here until he is given a "home base". I am brand
new to military life and have what feels like thousands of
questions. Many of my questions revolve around the availibilty of
special needs help. One of our twins (they will be 3 on Nov 17) has
PDD-NOS and epilepsy. She is very high functioning. I am attending
an IEP meeting tomorrow to write her IEP to start in teh school
system where we live. We also have 2 other children who are 11 and
4.
I'm sure you're a very busy person, but if you had the time to
correspond with me I would really appreciate it. Or if you know of
anyone else who would, please feel free to pass along my information
to them.

Thank you,
Jennifer Benca
Mom to Robert (11), Patrick (4), Rebekah & Rachel (almost 3)
