Dear Migrant Health Colleague, Save the Date/ Call
for Abstracts Mark your calendars for the 2009 East Coast Migrant Stream
Forum. This year's forum will be held on October 22-24, 2009
at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Begun by the North Carolina Community Health
Center Association in 1988, the Forum is the oldest annual conference
dedicated to improving health outcomes and health care delivery to migrant
and seasonal farmworkers and their families along the east coast.
Through workshops and networking opportunities, health professionals and
advocates are exposed to the latest in clinical trends, farmworker-specific
service delivery models, cutting-edge research, and legistlative and funding
initiatives. NCCHCA is now accepting abstract
submissions for possible presentation at the conference. The conference
program revolves around 5 tracks: Clinical, Outreach/ Lay Health
Promotion, Policy/ Advocacy, Programmatic/ Administrative and Research.
