Our beloved Shelley passed away early this morning, surrounded by her
family. Funeral arrangements will be announced at the Caring Bridge
site in the coming days.

We at Farmworker Justice are grateful for the opportunity to have
known Shelley, to have worked alongside her, and to have counted her
as a friend. There are no words. To paraphrase Whitman: Shelley was
large, she contained multitudes.

In the coming months we hope to compile a book of remembrances of
Shelley for her family. If you have pictures of Shelley or stories to
share, please email them to a Farmworker Justice staff person. Please
include a short description of any pictures (date, setting, additional
