Farmworker Health Services, Inc. (FHSI) seeks a
Project Manager (PM) to join our staff. FHSI is a national non-profit health
care organization working with local communities to improve the quality of life
of farmworker families. Since 1970, FHSI has been the leading organization for
the promotion, delivery, and enhancement of health outreach and prevention
strategies for farmworkers and their families. FHSI provides a wide range of
programs and services that enable health delivery organizations to understand
and address farmworker health issues more effectively.

Project Manager’s Primary
Responsibilities:
FHSI’s Project Managers are responsible for
providing technical assistance (TA) that focuses on expanding and improving
farmworker health outreach programs at community health centers nationwide. TA
includes training, outreach program assessments, and other outreach program
consultation. In addition, the PM will develop publications, conduct research
and some grant writing, present at conferences, and work closely with staff on
other projects.

Requirements
and Additional Qualifications:
Minimum: Bachelor’s
Degree and two years experience in project management, health care, or program
evaluation; bilingual (English/Spanish); demonstrated ability to work
independently. Preferred: MPH, MSW,
MSN, or related Master's degree (or BS/BA in similar fields plus at least 3
years of related professional experience); direct service experience (community
health center, outreach, social work, Peace Corps, overseas relief work, nursing,
health education, etc.); experience in research and data collection. Ideal candidate will be experienced in provision of health
services to farmworkers, training, project management, program evaluation, and
the provision of program support/assistance. Other
desired skills/behavioral qualifications: Ability to interact well with colleagues in a team
setting, capacity to organize and meet deadlines, good interpersonal skills, and
strong writing skills. Ability to speak publicly, conduct training, and
facilitate group activities. Demonstrated commitment to community development,
service to underserved populations, and interest in health promotion desired.
