Dear migrant health research colleagues,

The Pacific Northwest Agricultural Safety and Health Center, funded by the
National Institute for Occupational Health and Safety, is pleased to announce
funding opportunities for projects related to agricultural safety and health.

Each year of its current funding cycle (2006-2011) they will be offering
opportunities for Northwest researchers, students, and community members and
organizations to apply for project funding directly through the Center. The
total award amount may be up to $25,000 in direct costs per project. Projects
will be one year in length and selection of awards will be based on scientific
merit and program relevance.

The goal of this funding program is to stimulate innovative research; encourage
collaboration between institutions and involvement with concerned communities;
and attract new and established investigators to the field of agricultural
health and safety.

Eligible Applicants:
*All University of Washington (UW) investigators. Affiliation with the PNASH
Center members is not necessary for proposal submission.
*Researchers with organizations other than the UW who have contacted the PNASH
Center and established an affiliation with the PNASH Center.
*UW graduate students applying in conjunction with a faculty advisor. The
faculty advisor must be listed as the principal investigator on the project.
*Northwest region community members or organizations that establish a
collaboration with the PNASH Center (the Centers region includes WA, OR, ID and
AK)

Note: Non-UW individuals are strongly encouraged to contact the Center directly
ahead of time to help facilitate setting up a working relationship with someone
at the Center.
