RE: [migrant_health_research] photo-novelas

The Migrant Clinicians Network (MCN) produced a bilingual (Spn/Eng)
fotonovela for diabetes education and awareness in 2003 called "Un
Cambio Para Lucia-A Change for Lucy" that walks through the discovery of
one woman that she has developed Type II Diabetes, and the emotions and
life style changes that she goes through to adjust to the reality of
having diabetes. We haven't done a formal evaluation of them but they
have been well received for years. Feel free to contact me if you have
any questions or would like to see the material.
Take care,
Sarah Henly-Shepard

Subject: [migrant_health_research] photo-novelas

Hi everybody,
I would like to ask if you have references regarding use and evaluation
of
photo-novelas for education, prevention in health and other topics among

Spanish speaking audiences. I would appreciate your help.
