Evaluating the Effectiveness of Workplace Safety & Health Interventions: A Participatory Workshop: Thursday, January 26, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

This participatory workshop will begin with typical problems encountered in promoting and maintaining workplace safety and health and community health for farmworkers: 

       1)    Evaluating Your Home-Based Promotora Women’s Health Education Program, Elizabeth Cartwright, PhD, Idaho State University

       2)    Certificates for Proper Bending and Lifting, Pamela Elkind, PhD, Eastern Washington University

       3)    Wine Grape Vineyard Case, Julia Faucett, RN, PhD, FAAN, University of California, San Francisco

       4)    Diabetes Dental Case, Sherri Lukes, RDH, MS, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale

Workshop is suitable for migrant clinic staff, promotoras, outreach workers, health educators, clinicians, and other health promotion professionals, as well as occupational safety and health professionals, and researchers.
