2006 National Farmworker Health Conference
San Antonio, Texas
May 22-24, 2006

Friends and Colleagues,

You are invited to attend the 2006 National Farmworker Health Conference to be
held May 20-24, 2005 in San Antonio Texas. The conference is co-sponsored by the
National Association of Community Health Centers, the National Center for
Farmworker Health, and the Migrant Clinicians Network as well as support from
the HRSA Bureau of Primary Health Care.

As the only national conference with a focus on the Migrant Health Programs and
the farmworkers they serve, it is an opportunity for national advocates,
clinicians, service providers, researchers, and public officials to share and
learn from those that provide health services for the farmworkers that harvest
our nation's food.

As we look to the 21st century and the many challenges faced by the health care
industry, an important component is developing the dedicated leaders in migrant
health that will continue to advocate for farmworkers and their family members'
access to primary health care. Leaders that not only understand the program and
funding histories but also the issues and the clinical profile of patients they
serve. It is our intent that whether you attend the clinical, policy,
management or programs educational sessions or sit in on one of the leadership
workshops, or even participate in one of the many meetings by interested
stakeholders at the conference, we are certain that the opportunity to network
with migrant health experts from across the nation will provide a valuable
learning experience as we strive to develop tomorrow's leaders in migrant
health.

You will also hear from Federal and State officials, national migrant advocates
and migrant health experts on current initiatives and strategies for meeting the
health needs of farmworkers and their families.

We look forward to seeing you in San Antonio, Texas for the 2006 National
Farmworker Health Conference.
