e-group. I recall her and Keith Blitzer doing an education session on obesity
among farmworkers with a focus on dietary changes, especially the impact of fast
foods. I am sure she can provide you with the sources for her presentation. I

Subject: Migrant farm worker nutrition -- help, please!

Hi Everyone!
I am an MPH student intern working on a project related to nutrition among
Mexican farm workers in the US. I was wondering if I could solicit some
information/suggestions for the following areas:
* I am looking for information on the dietary behavior (food
consumption, gender issues, access/barriers to eating healthy, food
security, etc.) of male Mexican-born farm workers. I am especially
interested in information on recent arrivals and changes in diet upon
migrating to the United States. Is anyone aware of any
studies/projects/data of this nature? (maybe someone has some data on
nutrition that has yet to be analyzed...?)
* Also, my organization is considering developing a training manual on
nutrition for promotoras working specifically with migrant
farmworkers. Does anyone know whether any manuals of this sort already exist?
