California participants please take note:
The Relational Culture Institute, in partnership with the Labor Occupational Health Program at UC Berkeley, has a grant from OSHA to provide workplace violence prevention training, based on a train-the-trainer model. We are conducting a two-day (9-4 each day) training for supervisors, safety professionals, HR managers, and others in Fresno on Feb. 8 and 9. There will be two additional trainings in early May and early June. The upcoming training is particularly interested in workplaces that have Spanish-speaking employees, in addition to English-speakers. Along with a comprehensive training program, participants receive a full curriculum for program design, training, implementation, etc., including training overhead masters and Powerpoint presentation. Of note is the fact that the entire curriculum, with the exception of the Powerpoint, has been translated into Spanish. Trainers who will be training Spanish speakers will have opportunities during the training to do role playing and practice training in Spanish as a breakout group.
See attachments for a full program description and enrollment form. This is our second and final year of training in this area, following rave reviews from partcipants in last year's program.
For those not able to make the training, but would like to know more about the curriculum should feel free to contact me.
Thank you,
David
