Hi everyone.
I just posted some demographic questions, but now I will get to the
meat of my presentation (I am a University of Washington student
doing a presentation on the WPS Training section), and ask a couple
of questions about the training. If you can give me any insight to
anyone of these questions, I would really appreciate it!
How is training comprehension established for workers that aren't
literate? What kind of problems are there when training illiterate
workers?
How is worker training accomplished when the workers first language
is not Spanish or English?
I read something about an EPA project with Mexico regarding pesticide
training - does anyone know anything about that?
How are records kept on trained employees? Do many farms give their
employees training cards or certificates?
From those that have seen training on the farms- are the trainings
usually done with videos? What is the workers' reaction to these
videos?
Can anyone refer me to any info on the web regarding WPS training
(besides the WPS itself and Alice Larson's document posted on the EPA
website)?
Where do you think WPS training is lacking?
Thanks for your assistance!!
Lisa
