hello everyone
I do not know if anyone may remember me stating about the problems I had in
the past with hearing a very loud ringing sound in my right ear. If not this is
a story of it. In April 12, 2003 I had a horrible grandmal seizure then a
cluster of complex and simple partial seizures that caused me to hear a very
strong, long, almost like someone was sticking a large, heavy bell or drum. It
was so bad that it really scared me, caused me to have a great amount of
pressure in my right ear and at time it even caused pain (horrible migraine
headaches). While in the hospital the doctor had to put on a high dose of
medication (i do not remember what type) to calm me down and help me sleep. When
I was sent home, he put me on zyprexa.
Being at home like this was hard. The sound was horrible. I was unable to go
out and do things. Most of the time I stayed in bed. Using a heating paid
helped. Finally towards the end of June the sound was not completely gone, but
I was able to handle it. So the doctor took me off of the zyprexa.
In time the sound did go away. Just now I can not handle it if I hear a very
high noise our loud pitch/sound. It causes me to hold my ears, want to cry and
I half to get a way from were ever it is coming from.
Now if I start having a cluster of seizures the sound will come back, just not
a strong sound.
So my question is does anyone have something similar to this? Last week I had
5 days of small seizures (1 a day) so the sound is back. It is not bad at all.
Just a light buzzing sound. That is why I thought about asking this.
Thanks
Ashley
