I have not posted, just have been quiet. Got new trifocals in April,
and had a hard time with them. Kept falling, and dropping things. Then
I did fall good, twisted an ankle and broke 3 ribs. They are now
almost healed.
For the gal using goat's milk, I think you could freeze it. I don't
use milk except in homemade yogurt.
As for organic foods, I have MCS, or multiple chemicle
sensitivity. Perfumes, and other smells give a migraine. When I eat
food that is not organic, or has chemicles in it, I feel lousy. I
suppose one gets in touch with their own body as time goes on. We have
a big garden, and raise a lot of our food, so that is my organic. At
times, I have to alternate it with store food that is not organic.
Dyes added to foods make me break out. We are definetly delicate in
some areas.
I can relate to movies, and strobe lights. Nothing like paying to
see something, like I did at a world's fair. Went in after paying to
see a special program, and they asked for all epileptics to leave. No
offer to refund our money. I always had seizures on swings, and moving
items, and even the merry go round. If I watch moving items, I feel
like I am being sucked into a whirlpool, and then on comes a seizure.
So I avoid that sort of problem. At some movies, I have to close my
eyes, so I do not see the fast moving lights.
As for seizures, I am doing well. My migraines are few, just around
the full moon. I know that I should go in and get meds for that, but I
take feverfew for that daily, and plow through the 2 or 3 days of the
migraine with excedrin migraine.
I hope that all of you have a safe summer, and we all find
solutions to our problems of living with epilepsy.
