Hi!
My name is Connie Lee, and I have a 3-year-old daughter with multiple
cavernous angiomas. She has had several post surgical seizures (3 brain
surgeries so far) and is at risk for a seizure disorder.

I'm posting to let anyone else with cavernous angioma know about a relatively
new organization, Angioma Alliance, for people affected by this illness. I,
along with a few others, started this organization out of frustration with the
lack of specific information and support on the internet. Our website,
www.angiomaalliance.org, went up in August and contains general information,
information about genetics, research updates, research study contact
information, and a community forum specifically for cavernous angioma. We have
a Scientific Advisor, Dr Issam Awad, who is one of the foremost leaders in both
researching and treating this illness. We've recently published a patient
information brochure that we're distributing to neurosurgeons, neurologists,
etc. to give to their patients. It's available on the site as well.
