NOTE: Would you please consider posting this on your group? Thanks.
As a former intern at Casa de Nacimiento, I've talked with a number
of people about my experience. I know there are a lot of students who are
struggling to find a preceptor or even to just find a way to finish their
clinicals, and so just want to suggest that Casa is another option for
you. You don't have to have any previous experience to be accepted as an
intern- in fact, Casa has students who see their very first birth there,
and then others who are already CPMs go to enrich their growing birth
experience. They have women (to include doulas) go who are trying to
decide if they even want to pursue midwifery....Casa serves students
through many different levels in one's training. Check out this to hear a
former student's perspective:

Casa de Nacimiento is currently doing 40-60 births a month. Due to
being short on interns for the months of April and May, Linda has decided
to offer a discount for people who can come with little notice- $500 off
the regular listed price (http://www.casamidwifery.com/internpg2.html ).
Minimum stay is 1 month up to 3 months, and the offer is only valid for
people starting their internship in the months of April or May. If you
have questions, call Dani at 915-533-4931.
Blessings,
Melody, CPM
