For those who can't find parts at Radio Shack, this place may do the
trick: www.allelectronics.com . Then again, there's www.digikey.com .

I've been trying to get parts to build my own blood cleaner but the burger flippers at Radio Shack are clueless and I haven't been able to find parts...

There are simple plans for a strap on wrist unit in microelectricitygermkiller, you notice there is no 2 on the address. It is basically a velcro strip...
