Ok, this is for you all who have older children. Zachary is about to start
middle school in about three weeks and I am so worried. In grade school the kids
babied him and just put up with his strange behaviors and the teachers basically
ignored him. He still cannot write nor spell even simple words. He is almost on
grade level for reading and above grade level for math and sceince. He speech is
very immature and his motor skills is that of a six year old. To top things off
he is small and looks very young for his age.
I want him to stay on grade level work but I think he is going to need alot more
help than he was getting in grade school. Does any one out there have a child
similar to Zachary and has all ready been through middle school? My oldest was
different as he has severe learning disorders and was full time special ed.
Zachary has a high IQ but has alot of physical and coordination issues not to
mention classic Autism. Please any suggestions would be helpful.
