RE: [Microcephaly Support Group] new to the group

Hello,

My son, Zachary, who is now 10 years old has a head size of 18 1/2",
he stands about 4 feet and weighs about 48 pounds. His head size is
supposed to be 3 deviations below normal. For the most part his is
doing fine. Now he has an "unknown" syndrome so he has a lot of
health issues which include mild CP. His gross motor skills are that
of a six year old, so is his speech. He also has great difficulty in
writing. As far as school goes he is almost on a 6th grade level in
math and at level in reading.

So if I was you I wouldn't worry so much about the word Microcephaly
if your child has no problems.

Deborah T
