hi, my name is angel and i was told at 36 weeks pregnant that my
daughter has microcephaly. i was devasted to learn by the doctors that
i had a 2% chance of her living past delivery. chloe was born december
31, 2007 at 11:13 am. she weighed 5 lbs 7 ozs and was 19 inches long.
at first it didn't look good, then about 10 minutes later she started
crying. it was the most beautiful sound i ever heard. the doctors were
baffeled that she was even alive. here she is now, 12 days old and is
doing excellent. in the hospital they did extensive blood work and a
ct scan. we are still waiting on the blood work results but the ct
scan should her brain was very imature. she still doesn't have an
actual diagnois yet, other than microcephaly. she doesn't quite open
her eyes yet, and when she does it's only for a few seconds. but when
she does open them, she is looking all around. she acts like a normal
baby, she cries, eats, sleeps, just like a newborn. i live every day
for the moment of being with her. she is my miracle baby in every way
possible. i have add photos of her in the hospital and the day we came
home. miracles are possible all you have to do is believe.
