you. my son dane is 15 years old he didnt start to talk till he 7 or
8, he growled for years, we seen specialiest and had camras down his
throat to see why he didnt talk, and apart from the obvious
smallness the voice bok and stuff all worked it was just danes brain
not making it work... he also had a very small uvla not a long
danglly one.. we thought that may have had a effect.. looking back
it is quite funny as now he talks brilliant. he still speaks
hypernazel but you can understand eevrything he says, we did learn
makerton sign language, and this helped for many years. but dane
always mannaged too get his point across. as for potty training he
was in nappys until he was 8 or 9 at night time. it seemed like a
life time!! but we kept getting him up in the night and toileting
him and eventually he became dry. dane is a very clever caring happy
young man. with excelent manners and communication skills. all our
worries of the past have faded. and it seems a life time ago. his
learning skills have always been at key stage one level. dane will
always be individual it takes him longer too take things in and
retain them. names adressess things we take for granted . but he
does try his best. and that is all we can ask for.we also had many
problems with feeding, we cut all danes food up, this all sorted
itself out as he grew and he eats everything.... if you ever want
too talk to dane im sure he would be happy too do so, to put your
mind at rest.i am a very lucky person to have him.. lorna
