Hi I am Brenda. My son is 9yrs. old and has been in school since he
was 4. I am not expecting him to ever be in normal class as he is
nonverbal and not potty trained. He is smart. He obeys a lot of
commands, but his skills are limited. It is hard for him to open
doors unless he has a handicapped lever. He doesn't seem to possess
motor skills such as turning round knobs, eating with utensils is
limited. He does pretty good sometimes, but he gets so frustrated
with it and throws a screaming fit when things spill on the floor. He
has certain routines about things. He displays autistic behavior
alot. One day, I hope he will be able to do more, we'll just have to
