If you live in Michigan and are a childbirth professional (doula, childbirth educator, OB, midwife, lactation consultant, L&D nurse, etc.) who values birth as the natural process it is, please join this list. I hope all the childbirth professionals in Michigan can band together, become references for each other, and share advice with each other. Perhaps we can put on some educational seminars and classes for pregnant women and their partners and families in our areas. Or maybe we can organize support groups in our areas so we can meet and discuss issues in person. Remember, there will never be a shortage of pregnant women, let's work together and promote natural birth!

A brief intro of myself, I am a childbirth educator in the process of certification through ALACE and soon CAPPA. I am also a doula in the process of certification through DONA. Goals to be reached soon include La Leche League leader and certified Lactation Educator, and I am also an aspiring midwife. I am the mom to one daughter (2.19.04) and am hoping for more in the future!
