Mesothelioma used to be a rare disease, but because of the widespread
use of asbestos it has now been described as an epidemic around the
world. There has been an explosion in knowledge about mesothelioma in
the past few years, partly stimulated by the formation of the
International Mesothelioma Interest Group network.

This site provides you with many articles about Mesothelioma Cancer.

Pleural mesothelioma is the most common form of mesothelioma by far and accounts
for 75% of all mesothelioma cases. Pleural mesothelioma affects the respiratory
areas of the body such as the lungs. More specifically, the cancer attacks the
lining of the lungs and ribs called the pleura hence the name pleural
mesothelioma.
The main cause of pleural mesothelioma is .....

Indications of mesothelioma may not emerge until the age period of 20
to 50 after exposure to asbestos. Shortness of breath, cough, and pain
in the chest due to an accumulation of fluid in the pleural space are
often symptoms of pleural mesothelioma.

Yesterday my wife's twin sister had her first chemo therapy treatment for
Mesothelioma cancer. At first they said she might have 3 months. But the day
before her chemo therapy they did a PET scan, and said it was not as far
along as they first through.
I have looked around the net for a support group, but have not found much.
This group is just for support, a place for those who have Mesothelioma
cancer to get together and talk to others and or for their family and or
close friends.
I have yet to have connected with anyone else who has Mesothelioma cancer
or with their family members.
Perhaps we can talk about this dreadful thing and also gain friendship
with one another.
I will try to keep trouble makers out, we will get rid of anyone who
attack others, and please no cussing or bad words.
May God Bless,
Jerry

My wife's twin sister got diagnosed with Mesothelioma today. She will be 59
this coming Christmas, but it doesn't look as if she will make it that long.

Her is comes because her dad worked in that stuff up until she was about 10
or 12 years of age.

The doctor says it is in the final stages, the doctor gives her about 3
months, but from what I found today on the net, that is rather common.

She has been checked several times over the last few years, but its found in
its final stage.

May God Bless,
Jerry

My mother has been diagnosed with mesothelioma. The only exposure she
knows she has is from work where they complained that there was
asbestos and asbestos dust that would be on her desk every morning and
they would vacuum it up everyday. This was only in the 80's and 90's
but it is the only exposure that she had. We have a lawyer looking
into everything right now. I don't know if that helped you or not.
