Re: [MET] Which part of "NO"

Hi Blaine,

This is not about cognition and brain functioning. The dynamics of this
process are playing on a deeper level: the level of intention and
manifestation.

If someone deeply intends a certain state, itıs not relevant how this state
is formulated by language and the brain.

Bruce Lipton gives a marvellous example of a scientist who demonstrates to
Robert Koch that the cholera bacillus he discovered cannot cause cholera,
and drinks a solution full of those little beasts, indeed without getting
cholera. He doesnıt believe that bacilli cause cholera and thus his organism
is not susceptible to those environmental stimuli who would kill anybody
else.

Warm regards from Switzerland,

Willem Lammers

Betreff: [MET] Which part of "NO"

Hi everyone. I have a question about affirmations. Someone in another group
posted that her husband always repeated "I do not get sick" over and over
and he almost never got sick.

Since it seemed to work for him I didn't point out that it's not supposed to
work that way, that affirmations are always supposed to be positive because
the 'subconscious' mind can't understand negatives.

That's what I was taught, that if I said "I do not get sick" my mind would
hear "I get sick."

It occurred me that the "unconscious" mind that we're trying to reach with
affirmations isn't so much the dark swamp Freud dove into as it's our energy
mind, our connection with the universal mind.

So my question is, if this mind can plot the courses of the planets and note
the fall of a single leaf, what part of "NO" doesn't it understand?

Has anyone really tested using negatives in affirmations, or did some expert
write it once and everyone since has followed that lead and repeated it as
truth? It does sometimes happen that things everyone knows to be one way
turn out to be another.

Anyone here have any ideas on this? I've read about the positive-only rule
so much that I'm not anxious to test this myself. My mama didn't raise no
lab rats! But since I read Silvia's EmoTrnace take on the energy mind I
really have my doubts.

Be well and happy
Blaine

I have had it work both ways for me. It really depends on what my "mind" latches onto. So for awhile I also changed to the all positive, and well, got about...

Hi Blaine, The "only use positives" thing used to confuse me as well. It finally made sense to me when someone explained it this way: If someone says to you,...

I think that the most important thing is to come up with a statement which is really compelling for you (or your client). In 1968 I quit smoking, suddenly, and...

Thank you all for your input on this. I'll keep teaching people to use the positive affirmation but not worry so much if they sometimes get into the ones with...
