In a case like this, I like to find out what it is that the client "can't
stomach", by (depending on the client), asking directly to connect with the
metaphor, or asking it in a different way: If you could begin your life
over again, who would you leave out; what experience would you leave out;
what period?...like that. That may help guide you to what to do next to get
to the source of the problem.

Has anybody done any work with Bulimia? I have done a lot of EFT
work but most of my work has been with OCD, weight loss, stopping
smoking, anger management, pain management and phobias.
I now have a client with bulimia. The client has had the bulimia
for about 22 years. She has tried every therapy going from
Psychiatry, Psychology, Hypnosis, CBT etc and nothing has worked.
I am also struggling to help her. We have covered the need/desire
to binge, the enjoyment of the binge eating, food cravings,
need/desire to purge the food, enjoyment of the purging, fear of
gaining weight, limiting beliefs, checked past memories for
emotional issues etc. The client is still binge eating and purging
3 - 5 times a day.
I know I may be missing a core issue but I am struggling to think
what it is.
Anybody any ideas?
