Michael,
Your point is well taken. I've been doing EFT since I got Gary Craig's
videotape in 1995. After doing it for a few years it seemed to stop working.
Then a friend suggested that I tap on both sides (mirror imaging). Suddenly
EFT worked just as well as it used to work at first. After a few years
tapping on both sides seemed to lessen in effect and I then tried
single-sided tapping again - and it worked like originally - but not as
long. Now I switch it up depending on which seems to work better for me.
In addition, there are several EFT variants including BSFF, TAT, and others
unnamed - many of which have been offered free on this list - that seem to
work well for me.
I think my body tends to habituate and build defenses against change -
making change techniques less effective over time as I use them a lot - as I
do EFT.
My thanks to Silvia Hartmann for re-energizing me into EFT after my first
"habituation" made me disbelieve - and to Ranae Johnson and her Rapid Eye
Technology for introducing me to so many alternatives... ;-)
Best wishes to all,
Joseph
