Hello Friends,

Finally, we have just moved down to S., CA. For those of you who want or
need to speak with via telephone please give me until tomorrow, Thursday,
October 19, 2006, and I should have the telephone situation completely
straightened
out. If you call the toll-free telephone number that I have provided in the
past many times it rolls right into my mother's cell phone (Lynda Lutz, RN
and Cofounder of EDSA). I am sorry for this major inconvenience for the both
of us. I hope that I can still keep the same toll-free telephone number that
I had while we were living up in the San Francisco Bay area. I promise that
I haven't forgotten about any one of you and all of you are in are thoughts
and prayers.
We ask that people do not Block nor delete our e-mails because we don't send
out fiverilous e-mails. We cannot try to help those people who choose to
Block and/or delete our e-mails. We have explained why we e-mail members
privately vs. like this. We want people to be able to trust us and vice-versa.
We believe in open and honest communication. We believe in confidentiality.
If you also struggle with other issues besides eating disorders (e/d), i.e.,
self-injury, alcohol and/or drug abuse, etc., please let us/me know. There
is help, but not without a great fight, but I have a lot of fight in me and
for anyone who needs it. OK?
Over the past months, I have been doing a lot of networking. If your
parents, loved ones', friends, family members, etc., who would like to contact
us/me that would be great. Eating Disorders effects the entire family.
Without
proper treatment you can die. I know and I have heard from members and no
members of EDSA that they really don't believe it can happen to them, but it
can. We would welcome any ideas/suggestions from you. This is a support group
where we want you to feel safe! I personally know what you are thinking and
feeling. You are NOT alone!!! If you or anyone you know needs help please
let them know that we are here/hear. If anyone would like to speak with me
and/or Lynda, please let me know via e-mail so we can schedule a date and
time. I honesty do much better when it comes to communication when I am
speaking via telephone and/or in person. In my opinion, the Internet limits me
and
you cannot get a feel from people, i.e., emotion, etc. For males who are
struggling with e/d please know that you are welcome to join and contact me
and/or Lynda. We need to stand united, not divided against this disease and
plight. I am willing to help with an intervention and not the type that you
see
on that TV Show called, "Intervention" on A&E. You can't put a price on a
person's life!!! Enough is enough!!! Speak up and speak out loud!!! I hope
you will help assist me/us in doing this. If you haven't printed out the ANAD
Pledge yet I urge you to do so and put it where you will see it.

Do NOT feel shy about calling me or us for support, advice, just to have
someone who really understands, and/or to vent, etc. NO ONE IS BOTHERING ME OR
US!!! Tell that negative mind to, "Shut-up! You are not my friend and you do
not own me! You can't have my life!"

Yes, I do know that these are so much easier to read than to do, but I truly
believe that you can do it!

I never had anyone do what we try to do when I was struggling with my e/d
(eating disorder). This is why my mother and I do this.


I mean what I say and I do what I mean. My mother does and feels the same.

One or both of us will respond to your telephone calls just as quickly as we
are able. I am an easy person to speak with and as is my mother, Lynda. I am
tough, but in a loving way and that's because I honestly care what happens to
you. I want you to live life without a masquerade. I am so proud of what
Spain has done and is doing when it comes to the world of modeling/fashion.
