Re: [Men's Eating Disorders] Digest Number 110

Hi there, Erika!

I am sorry I didn't
respond to this sooner,
but I just saw this post
tonight.

I would be extremely happy
to help you in setting up
this group as a secure
group (as long as you are
a moderator).

The way I have all of my
Yahoo groups that I lead
set up are as follows:

An interested person
wishes to join a group.
They are required to fill
out an intro. This intro
is then emailed to me, and
based on the content, I
can simply reply to this
email and the membership
is completed, or I can
delete itand the
membership is denied.
This very easily gives me
control over who can and
cannot join. Then, in the
rules settings on the
group, I check on the box
that says "posting by
members only", which keeps
ALL the spammers out. It
really is great - - and it
just seems that these two
settings in this group are
currently not active,
which is why ANYONE can
join and ANYONE can send
email to the group (such
as spammers).

I will be so very happy to
help you set these things
up - please just let me
know! :)

Have a great night,

Food Fighter
a.k.a. AnorexiaMan

If the moderator of this group would simply set the posting rules in the group to only allow members, this kind of crapola would not appear in our messages....
