Re: [Men's Eating Disorders] Hello

Hey Jared, nice to meet you! I'm so glad that you are doing well.
It gives me hope that I can do the same. I actually met with a
therapist today (first individual session I've ever done) and it went
well. She's going to try to get me into the program ASAP. The
strange thing about me Jared is that I never had any physical pain.
The food just comes up smoothly without any hesitation. I go to
Men's group every Friday, which is open to all males who have or have
had eating dsorders, which is at the University of Iowa Hospital.
It's awesome. If you're ever in the area, join us! It's head by Dr.
Anderson who is an absolute genius on the subject of males with
eating disorders. He was telling me about a surgical procedure that
involves putting a wrap ring (?) around the valve. It's called the
Laparoscopic Nissen surgery. That's supposed to make it impossible
to bring up food. Have you ever heard of it? This will probably be
the last resort if I can't conquer it through therapy. Well, I
should probably get back to work. Take care!

-Jason
