I need real life stories of people who struggle or who have passed
away from an eating disorder that I could use? I use to work for a
domestic violence crisis center and they had wooden cutouts the
shape of women's and men's bodies that were real life size. Then
what they did was put real life stories of individuals who died of
domestic violence on those cutouts. I was wanting to use the same
scenerio for eating disorders. They put them up all over in stores,
schools, ect. I would also like to use recovery/surviving stories
as well. I am holding a candlelight vigil in my hometown and this
is part of what I am planning to use to help educate and bring
eating disorders to a more personal level. Please help! The sooner
the better. The vigil will be held toward the end of april. If you
use someone else's story please get there permission. If you want
your name changed for privacy that is fine. Keep it short and
simple. But very personal. Like a half a page to a page in
length. No longer please. If you want your/there name, if you want
where you/they live, general info about your/there ed and how it
affected you/them, age of onset, age now/age deceased, stuff like
that. If you want to use poetry that would be fine also. Thank you
