Hi my name is Toni
I have read some of the posts here this morning. It is comforting to know there
are others going through the same thing. However I feel bad we have to go through
this at all.If it is a natural process why do our bodies take it so hard?
I am 52 and don't believe it unless I check my birth certificate.I am in a new
relationship I have known my husband around 5 years.I have a home, wonderful job
and new car.I adore my husband.I keep telling myself I should be happy and feel
bad because I am not.
I have always been a easy going person.I don't like to cause waves.I don't
express my feelings much. Not the ones that count anyway.
I am screaming inside ! I have mood swings.I will be just fine and suddenly I am
so mad about the littlest things.I wear men's cotton t-shirts to bed as I have
night sweats mostly in the evening and at night.I have always had a problem with
anxiety and that has escalated.
I am so forgetful it is such a pain!
I have taken Black Conosh and it helps a little and plan to start taking
St.Johns wort also.
My husband seems to be taking it lightly.I bought some anxiety pills and St.
Johns wort yesterday. He just raised his eyebrows and gave me a funny look.I hope
you will reply and it would be good to have people who understand and might have
some ideas.

Hello and welcome to our quiet little group.
I am sorry you are experiencing the flashes and the mood swings :( I
remember that feeling of being irriatated at the pets, plants and the
husband.
I would like to suggest a product called Rejuvenate For Women Caplets which
has made my syptoms go away. It is phytoestrogens from plants and it works!
My story is - in short
endremetroiss in my EARLY 30s
partial historectomy in my mid 30s
ovaries quit working at 40 (happy birthday to me)
age 42 I started experiencing hot flashes, night sweats, yelling at the
husband and cat for no reason.
from age 42, to age 44 I tried every prescription hormone replacement there
was. those products caused arthritis flare ups and weight gain..
at age 45 i found plant/phytoestrogens. started on a product...worked
great.........it was discontinued.
then i found Rejuvenate For Women and have been on it for several years.
Rejuvenate For Women took all my menopause symptoms away. My husband and and
my cat are very happy now :) LOL
You can find more information about Rejuvenate For Women by going to
http://www.herbals-unlimited.com/rejuvenate_for_women.htm
If you decide to get started taking the Rejuvenate For Women, it will take
about a month before you start feeling a calming effect and the longer you
take it..........the more your symptoms dissappear :)))))

Hi Trish.
Thank you so much for reply, I'm sorry I hadn't thanked you sooner: I saw the herbals-unlimited bit and didn't realise it was a personal reply so didn't open the e-mail till now!
I actually felt a lot better once I'd posted the e-mail and then made myself get washed and dressed. I'll make sure I have plenty of soya milk as I'd run out on Monday (I don't want to go down the HRT route), maybe that will help minimise the emotional roller-coaster feelings!!!
Thanks again,
Val.

Hi everyone,
I am 46 years old and i know i must be going through it also. i am not
due for a gyn exam until December 2007. i have been reading the suzanne
sommers, sexy years book and i am very interested in the natural hormone
therapy. i have found a doctor in my area that is educated in the
natural therapy method. I will wait until December to meet with her.
meanwhile i am taking effexor for the depression and am seeking
counseling. some days are worse then others. today i am irritable and
ready to jump out of my skin. i have noticed that i get irritated very
easily. i have had my blood test and the gyn doctor that i have been
seeing for about 16 years said everything is fine. i don't believe it.
i am sure my estrogen level and other hormones are whacked out. In may
of 2005 i had to have my thyroid removed do to a number of nodules
forming on it and not going away. Everything was benign! i do see an
endocrinologist for that but he knows nothing about the natural
hormones. Does anyone out there know anything about the natural HRT?
or is doing it right now?

Hello and welcome to the group.
Many of us in the group coup in different ways with our perimenopause or
menopause.
Your right, it is a transition into the next part of our wonderful life.
I am 52 YIKES and I am going thru menopause. But I have been going thru this
since I was 40. You learn to live with it. You find out what works for you
and that is what you do.
For me HRT was not the way to go. I tried that for 2 years and it was a
nightmare of weight gain and body pain. I personally take phytoestrogens,
drink plenty of ice water, try to eat right and walk daily.
How are you coping?

HEY EVERYBODY, I HAVE BEEN USING THE COMBI/PATCH FOR MY MENOPAUSE. IT
HELPS ME SO MUCH WITH HOT FLASH'S AND MOOD SWINGS, AND DEPRESSION. MY
PROBLEM IS I START BLEEDING (LIGHTLY) FOR A FEW DAYS OUT OF THE MONTH
SOMETIMES TWICE A MONTH, MY DR. SAID IT WAS NORMAL AND WOULD
EVENTUALLY QUIT, JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM. I
AM IN MY THIRD YR OF MENOPAUSE.

Well I am still on the journey of Menopause, it will be 10 months now with no period. My first long stretch was 8 months.
It is a glorious journey. I have started a women's day retreat here at Tierra de Suenos and hope to have more next spring. www.riverdesert.spaces.live.com

Subject: Re:
[menopausal] 46 and going threw menopause
sorry to hear you are having such a hard time. Myself I am 36 and I have been dignosed with premature menopause. it is diffcult, as my husband and I have only been married for year and half so we have no children. now i can not have any. so count your blessings for your daughter and grandchildren. for your mood swings have your doctor give you somthing. my docotor put me on Lexapro and it has done wonders for my mood swings. hope things get better for you.
Menopause in combination with life can be a seriously bad equation, myself single, working a
physically demanding job, no family, friends a few but not close, so I deal with it alone, my doctor prescribed hormonal creme since my estrogen levels were low enough, and after a month or so, I am now having regular periods? I find it to be a serious problem for me at this time in my life, because dating is hard enough, and losing bone mass, skin drying, energy low, moods shifting, sexuall drive low, who would want to date me? so I continue my journey alone and somtimes I think about suicide, I mean what is the point? I barely make enough money to cover my bills, I would'nt do it, just the thoughts are there, I have a daughter and two grandsons, my daughter came over and I was complaining, and she ran out the door so fast I thought she would trip to get away from my negitivity, but what I really wanted was to talk to someone and she does'nt like me sad, so here I am on this hoping there is some other woman out there
like me, and try to figure out how to survive this misery??
you should get a product that is specifically for menaopause symptoms so you
dont have to guess at the dosages of each individual vitamins.
yes you also need to take a calcium supplement with D and boron and
magnesium all in one caplet so you dont have to guess at that dosage either.
All the additional items with the calcium helps to make the calcium absorb
into your system. Calcium is a binder so I also take magnesium citrate to
keep regular.

take way back in my early 30's, now I take it to at least maintain.

I do not have periods anymore. I have been going through menopause for over one year now according to all the blood test I have had done. I was dignosed back in ocotber

sorry to hear you are having such a hard time. Myself I am 36 and I have been dignosed with premature menopause. it is diffcult, as my husband and I have only been married for year and
half so we have no children. now i can not have any. so count your blessings for your daughter and grandchildren. for your mood swings have your doctor give you somthing. my docotor put me on Lexapro and it has done wonders for my mood swings. hope things get better for you.
Menopause in combination with life can be a seriously bad equation, myself single, working a physically demanding job, no family, friends a few but not close, so I deal with it alone, my doctor prescribed hormonal creme since my estrogen levels were low enough, and after a month or so, I am now having regular periods? I find it to be a serious problem for me at
this time in my life, because dating is hard enough, and losing bone mass, skin drying, energy low, moods shifting, sexuall drive low, who would want to date me? so I continue my journey alone and somtimes I think about suicide, I mean what is the point? I barely make enough money to cover my bills, I would'nt do it, just the thoughts are there, I have a daughter and two grandsons, my daughter came over and I was complaining, and she ran out the door so fast I thought she would trip to get away from my negitivity, but what I really wanted was to talk to someone and she does'nt like me sad, so here I am on this hoping there is some other woman out there like me, and try to figure out how to survive this misery??
I have truly been through the ups and downs with peri-menopause. I just turned 49 and I've been doing it for a few years or more, and I find that when I am feeling good about my life and my marriage, I feel much better. It helps me to think more positive thoughts about myself. I also realize that men go through their own stuff at this age including heart problems, diabetes, erectile dysfunction, etc. I am using more soy in my diet, doing yoga about 3 times per week, I think my doctor told me that it would help the symptoms to exercise regularly.
You should do what takes stress off of your life and what makes you happy no matter what. Do what is for your best interest. Be happy! Love, Barb

Hi Kathleen,
My name is Trish. I started this group years ago.
Welcome!
That is to bad that you are dealing with your menopause alone.
But we are here. Your welcome to vent here.
Thats great that the prescription cream regulated your periods.
That should help alot! Now that you have your periods back to a regular
schedule didn't your menopause symptoms dissappear?
Oh wow! you have 2 grand children........thats wonderful........my daughter
says she will not have any children :( but i have to live with her decision.
My personal story is that at age 30 something i had a partial hysterectomy
and then at 40 my ovaries quit and I went into full blown menopause. For two
years I tried every prescription hormone replacement my doctor would
prescribe. All they did was make my bones/joints hurt and caused me to gain
weight and retain water.........It was horrible! So I stopped everything and
after 3 months my husband was begging me to find something to make me more
easier to live with.
So I then started trying all the over the counter remedies for
menopause.......that was a joke! They worked for maybe 2 weeks then
.....nothing! I had all my symptoms back.
Then - 10 years ago - my how time flys! I found a company that offered some
all natural menopause products.........I tried them.....they worked and I
have been on them now for 10 years.......no doctor prescriptions
needed.....no side effects either!
10 years ago I became a Rep. for the company so I could get my products
cheaper......since then I have made it my full time business.........and I
love it........and I have no menopause symptoms.
Here is what i take
Rejuvenate For Women Caplets...........2 per day
http://www.herbals-unlimited.com/rejuvenate_for_women.htm
AND
Rejuvenate Natural Balancing Progesterone Cream.........1/4 tsp - twice a
day........21 days on and 7 days off.
http://www.herbals-unlimited.com/rejuvenate-progesterone-cream.htm
I am really into nutrition.
So that's my story :)
Glad you joined our group.
Have a Blessed Day!!
Trish
