Hi and seasons greetings to all. I am writing to ask and get some
feedback if I can on my situation. I am a 64 year old women and went
through the change when I was 50. I have not been on hormones. Here
of late I have been having trouble with thyroid and was tested for
all my hormones including the females. My endro tells me that I am
almost depleted of them. When I went to see him I gave him a list
of my symtpoms and he said that many of them were female related. I
have so many symptoms and want to know if you all relate to any of
these? I do not sweat but do get spells of feeling like I am on fire
from head to toe.They pass fairly quick and are not all the time. I
also have moodiness and feeling down and wanting to cry for
whatever, the energy is about gone (lol) and comes over me like a
bomb. Have sleep troubles a lot as well. I ache and sometimes bad at
that, indigestion and gass a lot too. Have what I call feelings on
my skin and things that feel like electrical shocks that come and go
just as fast. I have not had a period in 14 years. My GYN has always
been after me to take HRT and I refused it as I did not want to gain
weight. Currently I am taking the Estroven and have been on it for
about three weeks now. But I had to laugh when I read someone wrote
that they can not even stand themselves as I am that way too. LOL I
had no trouble going through it and just some clotting and missed
months is all and then bang it was gone. BUT now I am wondering if
it would hurt me at my age to go on them? Has anyone started then at
this late stage? Any thoughts are appreciated.
