Re: [menopausal] Hello

Hello Trish,
I am 39 and experiencing hot flashes.  My gyno says my estrogen levels are low, but they have been low before especially when I do heavy wieght training.  My mom started early menopause at 39 so he may be right.  No I dont want to take any estrogen for it.  My mother in law thinks it contributed to her ovarian cancer and who knows now adays.  Everything contributes to cancer.  I take psychiatric drugs for anxiety, depression and sever PPD, premenstrual dysphoria disorder.  My moods are terrible around my periods and I feel really out of it.  so during those times I take my prozac and that helps me to get through.,  I have a 5 year old and a 7 year old and I watch a 3 year old and a 1 year old 50hours a weeek so the stress and not having time for myself does not help.  I suffered sever post pardum depression after my first baby and severe panic after my second so my hormones play havic with my chemicals in my brain.  I know going through menopause will not be easy but thank god that i am in the care of a doctor who will give me the chemical drugs I need to function.  I will be happy when it is over for alot of my symptoms will end.  I hope it doesnt take too long.
Anyone in the group that suffers from sever pms or depression I am here for you.  I also a christian with strong faith in god which helps.  I excercise alot and I take my calcium with vitamin D and my folic acid on top of all the other mood alternating drugs.
Lynn,
