MP Kathy...just glad to help... i am 50 and have been dealing with this issue for almost 15 yrs so far... i feel for u...
 
 btw...in MY shopping...i found that "rejuvinate" that everyone is soo hot on...is just black cohosh repacked n the price jacked up...black cohosh IS the source for plant estrogen... I DON'T DEAL WITH ANY DOCTOR THAT doesn't honor the old ways... natural chemicals {herbals} are designed to be digested with the enzymes in the body... all my docs are naturopaths.
 
NOW humans don't have all the enzymes needed...face it we are omnivores not herbivores... so by buying slightly processed plant proteins...they are broken down just enough so that we can use them...u can get the same effects by making teas with the full herb tho..cause heating breaks down the protein...n makes it easy for us to use.
 
my grandkids range in age from 30 (foster daughters step daughter) to age 3  They are the JOYS of my life and i love their chatter n the newness they bring to everything... but after practically raising 2 of them...i needed a break... n then the LOVE OF MY LIFE arrived...n I am with him now.
 
i swear when my daughter had her first child...she kicked me into menopause... i have tried EVERYTHING on my own...but I finally talked to my doc...n he put me on HRT...it worked great...but with my family history i didn't want to stay on THAT for long...so we switched to strictly herbals...n yeah i still have some minor mood disturbances...n a hotflash maybe once every 3-4 months...it beats the heck outta 5-6/night... 
 
the man i am with NOW had cancer last summer n between the radiation n the chemo he has an occasional HOT FLASH...so he has an understanding of just how miserable they can be... and his late wife had been thru surgical induced menopause so he is very understanding and patient... that helps..
