Id like to share my views on menopause, health and falling into the trap of gynecological scare tactics.

I have been health oriented since living in CA in the early 70's and have experienced the full sence of well being that eating wholistically, healthily, macrobiotically, colon cleansed; famous nutritionist diet, etc.........   and through it all, I have learned to trust my body, and the natural way of it.   If you take care of it, it will be good to you.   That said.  I am 53 this March, have gone through menopause I suppose (have lost my period now going on about 2 years)   after about l4 months of no period, restlessness, etc, I went to a woman gynecologist my friend recommended to me.  As I usually do, I researched about bleeding after not bleeding and saw what was considered the procedures to follow, and also read by some more naturalminded doctors that sometimes theres a blast of bleeding, before the final curtain falls on menses.

I met with this (more aggressive and offensive female doctor), who wanted me to have one less procedure than all the articles I read mentioned, and also when I asked why, she used some threatening message , that included or you could die in it.     I never went back to her...........and followed the ways I always have, the natural way............I also, didnt have a fibroid removed that was also with scare tactics told I should remove it, but when I read that most fibroids disssolve during menopause and I was in late 40s, i went with it.  It is gone .     This is only to say, that this all worked for me, and works for many .   I just hope some of you would consider trusting your own judgments over the scare tactics and the over confidence you may be giving these doctors that use surgery as the method of erradicating problems that might naturally resolve on their own.
