Bless you all!! I am home but I have to go Monday for blood work so they can
try to type my blood.AGAIN!! Apparently, the blood I was given for my brain
surgery in Oct 05 caused my to have a mess of antibodies in my blood. I am B Rh
Positive, but the closest match was O so it came in the day the Dr. discharged
me because they told him they couldn't find a match. They fed me breakfast, and I
ate. I had been on clear liquids since last Thursday. Then the blood came, but I
had already eaten. So they transfused me with 2 units before I left, and were to
keep the other 2 units for my surgery end of week. Now that has disappeared, even
tho it was earmarked for me! I was so weak I could hardly make it into my house.
Trust me friends, I well NOT go into the hospital for surgery unless my blood is
there and ready! What a waste of money, not to mention the starving and nervous
state that puts you in.
I thank you all for your prayers and well wishes and I thank Lori for keeping
you updated. On a happy note, I got a brand new grand(great)baby on the
9th.Blake Allen Michael Stephens.7 lbs 15 oz.AND my daughter Annette is here
from Montana so I will feel better about the coming surgery as she is a retired
combat field medic with 15 yrs experience. Life goes on, even as we struggle.
Hugs to you all. Norma

Hey Mrio, I have that memory loss thing also, but I tell folks it's oldtimers
syndrome. The thing that bothers me most is the random phantom smells...I smell
smoke, bacon, electrical, all kinds of stuff and nothings there!!Drives me nuts
when I wake at nite thinking I smell wood smoke. I join you in wishing everyone
a beautiful pain free day! God Bless...Nj
